So, who all have played Fallout 1 or 2? Who's looking forward to Fallout 3? Who thinks they will like Fallout 3? Who thinks they will dislike Fallout 3?

And, most importantly... Who has no clue what I am talking about, but is curious, nonetheless?

Anyone willing to share their thoughts? Then post here! ^^

Fallout is a Post-Apocalyptic RPG, created by the team that later developed the classic 'Baldur's Gate' series of RPGs. The series is iconic for its mature theme, its dark humor, and its vast freedoms that it allows the player, often allowing them to make decisions that effect whole groups of people.

I'm a HUGE fan of the Fallout series. I've got all three PC games but have only ever finished Fallout 1. Fallout 2 is just so big that I never got around to completing it and Fallout Tactics was good but again, never got around to finishing it. I haven't played these games for years because I am now using a mac (I did try to find these games for mac but no luck). The only game I wouldn't buy/play is the console Fallout game.....as it looks like it plays like Baldur's Gate on console too (not that it's not a good game but I expected better for a Fallout game).

As for looking forward to Fallout 3......hell yes! Seeing as it's being made by the people that made Elderscrolls and judging how amazing Oblivion was, I have high hopes that it'll be good. The only thing I'll miss is the turn based fighting system.

*highfives* YES! Another Fallout fan who agrees! To me, Bethesda seems like the best company that was in the position of taking the Fallout license. It annoys me how many Fallout fans bash Bethesda for providing them the game that they've been wanting for ten years.

Fallout 3... FINALLY!

Still gotta wait a year though, which sucks... But I think Bethesda planned it that way, making it exactly 10 years since Fallout 2... They'll probably have a special box set for PC with Fallout 1-3, which would be awesome to noobies of the series.
 
My boyfriend is a fan of the Fallout series. He is very much looking foward to Fallout 3 as well.

I haven't played the Fallout series. Not sure if I would like it or not from what i've seen on Wikipedia. I guess I would borrow a copy of Fallout. Which one is better Fallout 1 or 2?

In my opinion, FO2 is better. The main quest is significantly less time-intensive, the map is bigger, and there're more items/easter eggs/content. Plus, I like the ENCLAVE as villains better than the (mostly) dumb super mutants. FO2 supposedly has more bugs... though I have really come across more in the first game, myself.
