Surely someone hear has heard of Sam Rami's Evil Dead triliogy? They are classic cult movies, be your genre horror or slapstick!
They star Bruce Campbell as Ash Williams S-Mart shop clerk.
The story stars of with 5 college students staying in a cabin in the woods and play an auido tape which unleashes pure evil. The audiotape translates the Morturom Demonto (or Necronomicon in the sequels), the Book of the Dead. And all hell brekas loose as each one is possed. The first film was banned everywhere due to a certain scene, not going inot it but I'll just say "tree." If you're that curious, look it up. The film is mostly horror with the odd black comedy. An Evil Dead Musical has already started showing in America.
Evil Dead II sees Ash and his girlfriend Linda head up to the same cabin and discover the Necronomicon. Personally this one is my favourite as there is more slapstick then horror and Bruce Campbell is amazing when he tries to battle his hand! This time you see how the chainsaw came to be ^^
Evil Dead III shows Ash back in time and continues after the ending of EDII. He decides to help the people by finding the Necronomicon and getting back to his time. This one has elements of horror, but mainly more slapstick comedy.
Computer games of the movie have also been released and all feature Bruce Campbell as Ash once again.
