I get really annoyed that all games are released in the US before Europe, i'm not blaming anyone but it really gets to me. like everyone on this forum seems to have played XII already when I don't get it for another month. So what I want to know is who decided that the US get all the games first???
 
I'm not sure if it's because the US is like...a bigger gaming country/higher earning country? That's all I can guess really. I can also suggest their region code, is different to ours, ours being PAL, and it takes quicker to convert the game into the US format, while everyone in Europe has the PAL format like us, which takes it look longer for the games to be converted for us. Just random suggestions, I could just be completely wrong.
 
Actually, Japan and the US are on the same format: NTSC. Europe has PAL. (Canada is also NTSC) PAL has a different resolution and frame rate than NTSC so they have to do some converting or slowing down of the game to make up for it. The good news is that high-def and digital TV may end the whole NTSC and PAL thing and we'll get our games at the same time, yay!

I hate you. . . but i love you.

But yeah, the two main reasons are that:
1. America is a bigger market
2. It takes longer to convert NTSC-J to PAL than it does to NTSC.

yeah, and the japs get games before america does.
 
I'll try and get a copy on the day it gets released but I doubt if I'll have any luck...I should have pre-ordered >_<
 
Aww, don't worry too much about it. We have to wait longer than Japan too...lol, don't consider the fact that the games are made in Japan anyway! >.<
 
waiting just makes the game better because then theres more suspence and all that
