It looks like whoever made the list favors Nintendo stuff.

Nintendo made some of the best games that get over shadowed by todays generation.

I have no problem with Ocarina of Time being number 1 as it is one of my favourite games.

I am actually surprised that more Final Fantasies aren't in the top ten. I thought 7 was better than 12. I thought 9 was better than 12. Where are the Dragon Warriors? I think this poll was biased. I demand a recount!

I'm not suprised more FF games never got into the top 10. I am suprised that FFXII got in over FFVII but I think that would go back to what I said previously. FFVII got 18th but my real suprise is that Metal Gear Solid never even reached the top 100!

Tetris should not be in that list. Maybe it was one of the best 10 years ago, but in this day and age, puzzle games like Meteos are superior to it in every respect.

If the game isn't good in these days then maybe most of the great games for the SNES etc shouldn't even be considered for if it isn't good in these days. I think they should be voted on things like how good the game was at the time rather than comparing them to games 10 years later. If we are just voting on how good they are today and not when they where first released then the whole poll should be full with PS2/GameCube/Xbox and possibly some games before that generation.

Metroid isn't even that great a game...its plausible to complete the game in under two hours for gods sake....

I bet it was a survey on a nintendo site...i dont think any of them are PS2 games :/

I thought there is a PS2 game in there that should be more than obvious to this forum.

I'm actually surpised that FFVI isn't on the top 10 list though. It's considered to be the best Final Fantasy ever.

Edge is a British magazine. The first FF game released in the UK was FFVII. FFVI would be released later on the PS1 etc but it probably wouldn't have the same affect if it was originally released during the run of the SNES.

In your opinion, maybe. I personally found it to be just as or slightly more fun (Emphasis on the slightly) as FF7 (Which is fun BTW). Also, I thought the graphics in OoT were easier on the eyes than FF7's "Legomen". In terms of music and fun factor, VJ beats out OoT and FF7.

FF12 isnt anywhere near FF7, I normally have a very great feeling when I play an FF for the 1st time, I've now bought FF12 last week and sorry but I get bored soemtimes. The gameplay isnt very varying as i kill all monster the same way where as you needed some strategy in other FFs as you had enemies who had a specific battle strategy (tonberry, malboro) where you rlly needed to pull out all the stops. A malboro in FF12 is just another enemy like all the others.

Only the boss fights were very fun in FF12.

Dude, don't say that. Both Ocarina of Time and FF7 are incredibly awesome games. You can't compare them. The aren't even in the same game genre to say that either of them is better at gameplay. Music in both games is awesome, but they have different concepts. Not to mention they have different settings. OoT is medieval while FF7 is futuristic. If every game was medieval, with the save the princess story, I'd get bored. If every game had an almost apocalyptic future with an emo (albeit very likable) protagonist, I'd get bored. Variety is good.

And just for the record, FFX should be on that list along with FF7.

WHY ISN'T FFVII IN THE TOP 10??? To me, this is a sign it needs to be re-released, to cement its place. Please tell me why you think FFVII isn't in the top 10, because im SHOCKED..

I usually never pay attention to a poll on the net since most can be terribly biased or Lol… edited.

Seriously though, you’re talking about a game that was made 10 years ago. You can’t expect the young gamers of today to appreciate it as if it where just released, especially with what’s out today.

Now if the poll where questioning as to what was the best RPG of all-time, I’m sure VII would be listed right there in the top 10.
