dont u think cloud was a little too strong?

Well, look at his counter-part.

We've got ultra bad-ass sephiroth in one corner and eventually in the game you have to go heads up with him one on one. Sephiroth is truly an animal, I think had Cloud not been almost equally as nasty then not only might they have not been able to stop him in the end, they may have given up in the middle after Midgar's falling apart and everyone's losing on all fronts.

I think that everyone in the game (Bad-guys included) were drawing off of Clouds strength. He kind of kept the ball rolling.

Can't take anything away from him, boy was an animal, for good cause, to good ends, even though I seriously believe that Sephiroth should have served him up a pipin' hot ass-whoopin' when they went one on one and you Omni-Slash him.

Not to mention Emerald Weapon rofl=X
 
You've gotta be kidding me.

He has the baddest assest weapons, he's got THE ultimate limit breaker, a snappy hair-do and a talking dog. He's like the tall handsome equivalent of Peter Griffin. Also, I think they've got their ideas for characters many games in advance, they could have put Sephiroth as the bad guy to a different game, or Cloud as the hero to another one. (If you can picture Cloud running around the Zanarkand ruins asking people if they remember anything about his past) But they decided to make Clouds counter-part the single baddest human'ish bad guy with some of THE most incredibly frustrating optional super-bosses in the series. We're not even gonna mention Emerald, like this is 'The Village' and he is, indeed, the boogey-man, but even diamond was a little bit of a whore, and Ruby was extremely slutty when it came to taking away party members to fight with. I'm not sure how many times I reset that game hoping and praying next time he would take a character a little less vital to my success of braining him.
 
Ye i think he seemed very strong and specially at the end when performing the OMNISLASH.
But if we say so than w'll have to say the same thing about all the Heroes in FF games.......we can sure say the same thing about FF X with its "BREAK DAMAGE LIMIT".
But it was cool that we could have thaese kind of heroes
