I own it on snes cartridge and have it emulated on my computer! Great game, I think it's the best rpg out there. Well it was back in the day, just as good as any FF series game and maybe even better. You were able to see the monsters before you went into combat mode.

Chrono!

Peace,

I remember playing chrono trigger on the snes and got the perfect ending. i also played it on the ps and really enjoyed playing the game again for a really long time. to my view, this is one of THE best RPGs ever made.

True Arthvader, it is one of the best RPGs ever made. Loved the game so much I've got it on Snes and I also have it on an snes emulator. I haven't played it recently but one day i'll play it again. I played non stop one time and beat in a couple weeks. Great game, love the characters, love the storyline, all we need now is a new version for say the Wii. Now that would be awesome with better graphics.

Peace,
Octavius

I also really enjoy it. It's a quality SNES game, right up there with Super Metroid, etc as the best of the best. I do, however, prefer Chrono Cross to Trigger; but that's another discussion.

I'd be interested in playing a graphically updated version, as long as it's not on the Wii. PS2 seems like a good fit, the game doesn't need PS3 or 360 graphics, and since it's a niche game at this point (pretty old at this point), people will buy a PS2 remake, methinks.

I enjoyed it when I started playing it on emu, but sadly my computer got messed up shortly after....

The characters were pretty cool ( Robo and Frog ftw! ) and the soundtrack was also very good. There's just too many r.p.g.'s for me at the moment to give it the time it deserves.

I love this game. I couldn't help but play this game over and over again.

They were actually making a game called Chrono Trigger: Ressurection. And guess what? Yep, it was a remake of CT for the PS2. Had the same feel as Dragon Quest VIII, with the cell engine, which would make sense because Akira Toriyama (creator of the Dragon Ball series) was the artist for both games.

Unfortunately the game was canceled, for what reason is beyond me because this game would've kicked ass. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news. Although, maybe Square is making the original Chrono Trigger to the GBA, like the old Final Fantasys.

If This game was to actually make it to completion, I would so get this game. Thnx for the images Avin.

Ha, I don't know why your thanking me, when I saw these images the first time, I was so hyped you wouldn't even know.. And then I started doing research and it was cancelled, and that piss the hell out of me.

Yea, it's sad actually. The guys that did that did it as an independant project... and they actually got fairly far. But Square-Enix, after telling them to stop multiple times, finally pressed legal force. They closed it all down. I saved the trailer they made for the game... but it's sad it was never realized.

As for the original Chrono Trigger, I loved teh game. It was an amazing game.

Chrono Trigger is probably my favorite RPG of all time. I have it on the original SNES and the PS remake.

I can't believe that they canceled the 3D remake! Would Crono have talked in it? XD.

Does anyone know if it will at least come to the GBA? Or even the DS?

Here's the remake trailer.

Like I said though, it wasn't a Square-Enix project. And SE basically threatened to sue the pants off a group of like 5 people who'd been working on the project for a few years.

Square Enix is probably remaking the game for the GBA.

I don't know if the game would look or sound right on it, but we'll see if they do it.

I really couldn't give two shits about the sound or look... As long as I get to play it again, because my PS1 copy doesn't work anymore and I wasn't a gamer in the Nintendo days, so I've never had the cartridge. And Im against emulation. Well, some times.

I doubt that Crono would have talked in the remake, just like as he didn't talked on the 2D SNES/ PS Chronicles versions of the game.
