Does anyone with Jenova cells become encased in crystals when they die?

I was thinking:

Lucrecia had Jenova cells and when she quote on quote 'died', you can find her encased in a crystal. Then Sephiroth, he was actually found in the North Crater encased in a crystal as well (that was when the Black Materia was given to him by Cloud - I guess when he lost all faith or something, but I digress)

So, Lucrecia and Sephiroth were found encased in crystals at one time or another and they both have Jenova cells. Will the same thing happen to Cloud someday?

Stupid question, I know... but I'd like to hear what others think.
 
No, their encasement has nothing to do with the fact they both had Jenova cells. Jenova was encased in glass, Sephiroth was thrown into the lifestream and became frozen at the Northern Crater. Coincidence.
 
Well, you'd think if that were the case then we'd see a lot of members of SOLDIER encased in crystals while playing VII.

And I'm pretty sure Sephy was crystallized because he'd been previously tossed into the mako in Nibelheim by Cloud, and since the majority of the lifestream was flowing towards the Northern Crater in order to heal the planets wounds there I'd assume that Sephiroth was just carried to the Northern Crater by the lifestream.

And we already know that Mako can condense and crystallize, that's how materia is formed.


As for Lucrecia, I'm not 100% sure how she accomplished getting into that state, but I find it interesting that Lucrecia's cave is also by a massive crater...
I'll just leave it at that, interperet it however you like.

Sorry, but he does -- but not because of the SOLIDER bit, other stuff that I suspect you don't have all the pieces to the puzzle...

But we are getting off topic and the Mako crystallizing bit... I agree and I think that my question has been answered. Thanks guys ^^;
 
Cloud was NEVER in Soildier. He was injected with JENOVA cells in the shinra basement as shown in both VII and CC. His brain took the muddled up memorys of his and Zacks experiences and created a new persona.


When Sephiroth was thrown into the life stream his physical body disolved. His concious absorbed the knolage that was in the life stream. And he divised a plan to re-create himself as a "GOD"

His body started to reconstruct at the North crater where the planet was using the lifestream to regenerate. This is why we see his body not fully reformed in the cystal. He then uses his will and Jenova genes to manipulate people with Jenova cells. Thats how he can control Cloud. And uses the body of Jenova in his image to go on a killing spree.



I dont think its ever fully explained why Lucrecia is ever encased in the cyrstal. My own thought are that the Jenova cells inside her, and the guilt of what she has done. Hasnt fully allowed her concious to become part of the life stream, and shes sort of in Limbo
 
i feel that Vincent himself took her there as soon as he was able and caused a life stream reaction to encase her in such a way so that he could come and see her at any point in his immortal life. He did it there because the lifestream was surging around that point at said time of reaction to encase her.

but yeah Cloud DID have jenova cells in him.. he didnt just lose faith when he gave the black materia to sephy he was under sephy's influence DUE TO the presence of JENOVA cells in his body
 
As previously said, the fact that the two were encased in crystallized Mako is simply coincidence.

Cloud never was in SOLDIER, though he badly wanted to join. The reason why he has Jenova cells in him (yes, he does!) is because, after Sephiroth went bat-shit insane and destroyed Nibel, Shinra cleaned up the mess to cover it all up. That included the witness. Cloud and Zack were among the few that survived the attack. The Shinra used these witness/survivors as experiments, (to kill them would be a waste) namely as subjects meant to be 'sephiroth clone. You see the results of these experiements as the black-robed figures uncapable of coherent speech when Cloud & Co. first arrive at Nibelheim.

Sephrioth was injected with Jenova cells while he was still in the womb. Shinra injected Jenova cells into the survivors, including Cloud. Since Sephiroth had not yet been born, the Shinra tried to replicate the life-creating environment of the womb by entirely submerging the subjects in the Mako, the stuff that souls are made of.

Later on, both Cloud and Zack escaped, resulting in Zack's death. This is how Cloud had Jenova cells injected in him but was NOT encased in crystallized Mako. Sumberged, yes, as were all the other subjects found in the reactor. But not encased in Mako. There is a difference.

Sephiroth was encased in Mako because Cloud threw him into the lifestream in the Mt. Nibel reactor.

Why Lucrecia is encased in Mako, we may never know. It's possible to theorize that, so full of guilt and shame that her child had come so close to destroying the world and she had let it happen, she threw herself into a pool of Mako. This would not kill her, however. It is impossible to die in the stuff that gives life (though it is possible to lose your mind). Instead, Lucrecia would be in a kind of suspended animation; alive, perhaps concious, but unaging, needing no food, air, or water. She is, quite literally, caught in amber.

No not really just because you've been injected with Jeova Cells doesn't mean you'll be encased in a crystal the only reason that happened to both Lucrecia and Sephiroth is probably because theyr'e related :seph:
 
Sephiroth was encased in Mako/Lifestream.
I don't actually think Lucrecia was encased in anything, her presence in the cave could have actually just been metaphorical.
