I wasn't sure where to post this, so I decided to post it here! After all, airmail isn't something covered by any of the other forums.

I ordered something off Ebay from China Saturday of last week. The seller shipped it monday by registered airmail. I have a tracking number. I used it.

The status through United States Postal service is:

Origin Post is Preparing Shipment

The status from China Post is:
arrival at transit office of exchange SHANGHAI UNITED STATES OF AMERICA 2010-04-08
departure from outward office of exchange SHANGHAI UNITED STATES OF AMERICA 2010-04-08
posting UNITED STATES OF AMERICA 2010-04-07

And I don't know what either means! Can someone please help me? I haven't been able to find anything about it on the internet!

Please help me!

BTW, what I bought was some CDs. They aren't likely to get in customs, are they? Does this mean my stuff is caught in customs? Should I be worried?

Thanks for any and all help!

Your stuff wouldn't reach customs for about 5-7 days after departure (depends on how fast they shipped it, but registered airmal is typically 1 - 2 weeks), and for CD's, you shouldn't need to pay for them. I believe parcels and packages of a certain size/weight and value are kept in customs, and then processed where it'll take about 5 days ish. Then once it gets to your local post office, you pay the customs fee.

In short, depending on your location, anything from China ordered off ebay takes an average of 12 - 18 days. Typically.
