Does anyone else not like Kristen Stewart acting Bella????

Its not like I dont like Kristen Stewart as Bella its more like how she acts Bella she makes it look like Bella is despressed and not very intrested in Edward like even when she hangs out with him its weird its like she doesnt even want to be there.

I just wonder if anyone else noticed this while watching Twilight because I sure did.
 
I think she always looks disgusted, which really did nothing for me. I know Twilight wasn't aimed at me, but I felt like I should watch it and she was a major problem for me. She's a pretty girl but she needs to learn how to act.
 
She doesn't seem like a very good actress to me, I think she's just awkward by nature and she brings too much of this into the character. I saw an interview with her and it was probably the most awkward interview I have ever seen. But then, I don't think she was that bad as Bella given how humourless and dull Bella is anyway.
 
I actually didn't mind her acting as Bella at all. I mean... I'd feel kinda awkward being in a new school, living with your father whom you hardly know, and then finding out that the guy you like is a vampire. XD

Can't say I would act the same, but everyone is different. And her acting is definitely different from most.

Please don't someone say, 'THAT'S BECAUSE IT'S CRAP', in reference to my last statement. <_<

Her acting isn't the best I've seen but I think she did quite well.

I think that the reason she is being bashed so much is because just about the entire female population is jealous that they aren't acting as Bella. <_<

WHY WOULD YOU WANT TO KISS THAT GUY ANYWAY!!! HE ISN'T EVEN HOT!!!

It IS crap though, Kandy. Did you even read the books at all before you saw the movie? Having read the books and then seen the movie, Kristen Stewart didn't portray Bella in this movie for shit. Sure she's got the look the accompanies Bella's plain, dull girl-next-door look, but her acting? Her acting was SHIT. She had NO emotion in this movie, her eyes had a constant, dead look to them when they weren't blinking like a person with Turret's.

There was no emotion in her voice, no feeling like Bella expresses in the book. I mean Bella is crier and this girl didn't even cry. The whole scene where she told Charlie she was leaving was done poorly because Bella was downright brokenhearted she had to say what she did to her father in the book. They ruined that scene in the movie.

Seriously, Kristen Stewart slaughtered Bella's character in the movie, and I don't have very high hopes for the 2nd one either. Oh by the way, I'm hardly jealous I'm not acting as Bella. xD I'm not a rabid Edward fangirl. I just think Kristen Stewart SUCKED as Bella, ruined Bella's character and somebody could've done a hell of a lot better acting as Bella.
 
I actually lost interest/lacked time to finish reading before I got that far. XD I really should continue reading though to see if I come to the same conclusion as you and to see what problems most people seem to have with her acting as Bella. XD

From the perspective of someone who has only seen the movie though, she wasn't half bad. I had no expectations of any of the characters and just went with the flow.

I do know what it's like to read a book though and be terribly disappointed by the movie. i.e. Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban.

So I understand where you're coming from.

*Will finish reading book and then come back with more opinons on the matter. XD*
 
well i never read any of the books but i thought kristen stewart was good in that movie and im glad it was her and not someone else. im not sure how bella suppose to be like since i never read the book but i like her in that movie and made the character bella likeable and fun to watch
 
I agree with you Yuna she sucked and for me she looked like ahe just got off a hangover drunk again then filmed the movie.She especially ruined the meadow seen cause when you see the extended version of it her face looks stoned and dead.
 
Actually I thought Kristen Stewart actually did a pretty good job portraying Bella IMO. The real only problem I had with the movie was that they weren't anywhere close as affectionate and loving towards each other as they were in the book. It didn't show their love for one another grow over a course of time like in the book. And when Lestat De Lioncourt sayed that she looked stone in the meadow seen turns out she was actually getting stone all the time off the scene sometimes I've heard. But overall I thought all the actors in the Movie twilight did a very well job. Plus its probably one of the most accurate book to movies you may ever get.

The reason I read the book is because my GF wanted me too. I really didn't want to but it turned out to be very a very awesome book.
 
I think Kristen is more of a casual, real girl who actually is awkward, but now all the photoshoots are forcing her to look more beautiful, as if Bella was some goddess or something. None of the acting in the movie was good :-)
.. I did like Carlisle though :awesome:
