Does anybody else want to just talk about FFVII

It's the storyline that makes the game great for me. No matter how many times I play it, I always find myself figuring out new tidbits of info I didn't get the previous time I played, or realising new theories concerning sub-plots. It's such a rich game for the PS1 era.

Even to this day, I still think this would have made an excellent movie (Well, most of the FF titles could make a good movie) but the plot was just brilliant. I had always wanted to see a movie of the actual game but sadly all they could come up with was FF:TSW and FFVII:AC. Maybe it is a good thing they didn't actually make the game into a film and just make a sequel as I didn't really enjoy AC. Still, this remains a great game, especially when it was released.

I always thought X would have made the best game, since they already have great voices and I think that a movie could be easily made and also be great. I think that itd be the best movie any FF could make

I, for one found the voices on X lacking. Especially Yuna's.
No offense. :P

Like you guys said, the storyline was the best storyline that Squaresoft has ever created, in my opinion. In fact, it could have been a comment on society at the time of its conception, you know, big companies hoarding over power, (Mako =?? Nuclear power) and so on.
The characters were extremely complex in every way, especially in their background.
The music was appropriate, the plot twists were dramatic and also unique, so all in all, FFVII = 10/10

:)

I think the aspect I love most is that none of the characters are lacking in any category. They all have their own individual histories; unique appearances and strong abilities. This is one of the only games (including FFIX) that had a decent enough plot and good enough character histories to keep me interested.

+1 =)

FFVII amazes me every time I play it again. The difficulty level is good and the villain the best ever : Sephiroth .

Great storyline!

The FF VII storyline is the best!! The Music and the character also looks pretty good!! The thing that make this game more interesting is the death of Aeris!! (Its a sad moment)

I liked how it sorta had 2 main connected storylines.
Cloud's memories and Sephiroth.

i really want to know the GODDAMN official answer and i want it to come through a video game or a movie or something, and i want to see it with my own 2 eyes. i want to know if cloud loved aeris or tifa? or nobody? i just want an answer. to me it seemed like he would have loved aeris before tifa cause he treats tifa like a sister. but i just want a real answer, no more theories.

I think the game was good, but I don't like how Bizarro and Safer Sephiroth looked. I don't really go for the whole giant mutated colourful superhuman thing.
I really don't like the amount of popularity the game got, all the spin-offs, and all the theories of love and what happened before/next. It's too confusing.

Orichalcon, one of the people who worked on the FFVII project did write a short story about Aerith traveling through the lifestream. The story indicates that Aerith was in love with Cloud, much more than she ever loved Zack.

But sadly...it does not mention Cloud's love for HER. lol.

I agree, add the relative ease of these battles and it makes the end feel a bit of anti-climax, especially after how great the rest of the game is

haha yeah it definitely seemed like aeris liked cloud, but clouds so damn hard to read i cant tell if he has feeligns for either one of them. well, im almost positive he sees tifa as just a friend but i just cant figure out waht he thinks of aeris as...

I really believe that he didn't love either of them. He just cared extremely deeply for them. I think that Cloud was an extremely complex person when it came to the matters of the heart and didn't want to love, especially through the process of the game. He just cares deeply for all those close to him; and even more so for Tifa and Aeris. However, I don't think he loved them, although I believe Tifa and Aeris did love him, more so Tifa. Initially, Aeris seemed to like him and want to spend more time with him, but then it became more of deep, caring, feelingsl much like he to her. Tifa had a more personal relationship because of there childhood. The triangle was definatley complex and we may never know for sure, however that is my take on it from what I read throughout the game and AC.

Well, I loved playing FF7, and I miss it terribly now because I can no longer play it. I loved the characters and story the most about this game. Cloud's moments in the game were unforgettable for me; how he sometimes swong off people with his attitude and the funny moments in the game.

Aaaah, I truly miss this game.

^_^

I like your answer and I must say that Im started to believe that. I could never figure out whom he loved, if he loved either of them.
