Do you think they will expand the Xiii series?

just like final fantasy 7 which got expanded in games,films,and hobbies,do you think it will happen in 13,I have a strong prediction because the current characters are very similar,its just 13 deals with politics
 
Most likely, it's a 10 year compilation from what I'm aware so it will most probably get expanded, just hopefully it's not whored as much as FFVII which basically made it so famous but at the same time caused fanboys to piss people off as well. They could make a move from Versus which could work pretty well by the looks of it but we'll have to wait and see >.>
 
Yea, as Merc said they probably will. It seems a bit arrogant on their part, honestly. I don't even know if I'll like the game and they're already planning future games that I should prep myself to buy. On the other hand, if I love the game, that content probably won't come out soon enough. xD

I guess we'll have to see if it's a good thing or not. But they probably will do it regardless. If you're selling, some sucker's always buying.
 
Yes I do think they will expand it after the 3 games in the fabula novala crystalis project. They will probably make alot of spinoffs or if its very popular a movie or more games.
 
I'm also expecting more titles from the Fabula Nova Crystallis compilation. If it is a 10 year project like Merc said, I have no doubt in my mind that SE will come up with something else. SE have trademarked the name "Final Fantasy Haeresis XIII" so I see that as a sign that SE are at least planning something.

Why is Versus so good and not XIII? What is it that you like more with Versus than the other one? You don't have seen any of the whole game not before you play it so what's up?
 
What it looks like is that SE could be trying to make this another VII, there are a lot of similarities, (although there are plenty of similarities between all FF games), but something about this game. But I could see this being expanded more in the future

I'm pretty sure they will expand it, they already have and it's not even out yet. There's 3 games WIP, nowt to stop them making more. It would be nice to actually just have one stand alone game like they use to, but it seems those days are long gone

I think that's because now they have too many ideas, and maybe too much variation in their fanbase and they want to please them all, so they feel they need to produce something for everyone so to speak.

But I do think one off games are better, and left just as they are. It's like making a film, and then planning two more off of the back of the success of the first. It doesn't seem right. It's disjointed somehow.

I think they may end up expanding the series, they'll have loose ends to tie off and need something to do once XIII and versus finally come out! ^_^
 
Actually I have no idea if they will expand fabula nova crysalis. Time will show. But when I think about it. It looks promising and maybe Square want to make more games of it.
 
FFXIII spinoffs

I think it would be safe to bet on an exspansion of multiple titles within this area of FF because if you base "popularity" off of sales FF has a huge fanbase which is highly dedicated and for any of us that have followed the series for a while or even from only FFVII we know all to well that SE does a wonderful job of outdoing itself from the last title. with maybe the exception of FFXI which was one of the first MMOs but is now dated. So even with insulated sales of just current fans and not counting new ones that will come, a huge successful title and multiple spinoffs will mean a killing for SE which is good for us for obvious reasons......and thats my opinion
