I'm not scared of the dentist at all. It's his assistant that gets me, with all the digging, and scraping, and mass poking of the gums with her sharp instruments. What a bitch.

One time when I had to get a filling I was sitting in the chair, listening to the drill, wondering why it bothered so many people when all of a sudden I felt this jolt of intense pain course through the nerves of one of my teeth. It turns out that I have a high tolerance for the anesthetic they were using and it wasn't enough for me. I thought it was because my mouth felt pretty numb, but I was obviously mistaken. After giving me two more shots he was finally able to continue on without hurting me... much. It wasn't enough really because I still had quite a bit of feeling, but he said he was afraid to give me any more. So, after that I've been a little afraid of getting fillings. But, to counteract that I just brush better! :P

Other than that I have no problems with sitting in the chair going :O for the half hour or so it usually takes. Besides, it's well worth the :D that you get afterwards. Smiley faces are ridiculously useful, in a very useless way.
 
It's not that i'm scared of the dentist, It's the fact whenever i go he\she seems to always want to put fillings in my teeth even when they are fine! And i hate the feeling of when my tooth is being drilled into.
 
I'm not scared, but I don't like it. At all. I rarely have cavities (Damn those tasty PEZ) but it still sucks.

Anyways, I....just....got....my....molars removed.
And yes, it sucks. So now I hate the dentist even though I loved going just weeks ago. I'm tasting blood in my food and everywhere for that matter.
 
I hhhhhhhhaaaaaate the dentist. They smear their hands all over your face, and they scratch your teeth. Sometimes they accidentally scratch your gums and you start bleeding and they're just like "oops! it's okay! ^_^"
 
I had a small cavity in my lower right molar last time. I was PEZ binging though. Serious. Maybe 5-10 packs a day. Bad I tell ya, bad stuff.

I get to keep my lower molars though I think! Maybe my uppers too! Yay!

Wait, I get ice cream afterwards...:P

Especially the 'psychedelic' part where they put you to sleep.
No, that's not even painful.
How 'bout the hours after surgery?
That's what I'm talking about.

It even hurts when they tap your teeth.
And they hurt me psychologically when they tell me how bad my teeth are.
They're not!!

I'm very...very glad that I may be able to keep my molars. I hate pain. T_T
 
I like going to the dentist because clean-ups on my teeth rawck. The only thing I don't like about it is when they poke at my gums. D:
 
In my opinion, the absolute worst part is after you're all done, and they make you swish this weird fluid, and once I swallowed some. I was sick the rest of the day.
 
What fluid?!
I thought that was just water.

Or do you mean that minty stuff they poke into your gums before they bust your teeth open? xP

If so, then I like the taste...
 
Here they make us swish with some flavored fluid after they are done, and it doesn't taste bad...unless you swallow it. ><
 
I love the dentist. Nothing satisfies me more than having a drill plunged into my teeth. Equally satisfying is the burning listerine I'm forced to gargle for 45 seconds after having my gums reduced to bleeding rags by a scapel. Ah, and the blinding light I'm forced to stare into as rubber fingers fish around my mouth...that's heavenly.

Oh, how I love the dentist.

If you couldn't tell, I despise the dentist.
 
My dentist rarely ever slips with the poker-thing and hits my gums. They are usually pretty good about that. The wretched scraping on your teeth is hard to stand though. ><
 
Don't forget the brush thing they use to clean your teeth out.
But the water-jet kinda tickles, so I like that part.
Not the poker-thing, no...
