I most certainly don't.

It totally screws over the plot and such of the original game. I love it when they add in bits of plot, or expand plot points, but that was just totally stupid.

It's certainly possible. When you beat the game all you see is meteor and a huge flash of light. After the credits you see XIII and his two kids climbing a cliff, and then you see Midgar. (Sp) So it's possible for the movie to be canon to the game. Weather i think it is or not, I don't even know lol.

Ummm, this is Last Order I'm talking about. The prequal. Advent Children, I'm perfectly happy with.

I think it's been mentioned that Last Order is told from the limited perspective of a Turk. So while certain scenes have been changed, it's more like it's another POV of events rather than in the actual chain of events.

I think the Turk couldn't believe that a simple foot soldier like Cloud could take down some one as strong as Sephiroth, so they make the more safe assumption that Sephiroth jumped down himself 'cause he's insane >_>

I must admit, I've never hear about that viewpoint before now.

...wait, the Turks were there at the same time as Sephiroth and co.? Why were they there at the same time? And surely it would have been shown in Crisis Core if that was the case.

although that would make sense, espcially with the Sephiroth/cloud scene in the reactor, how would a Turk know Tifa was in the reactor as well, seeing as Zangan took her before anyone arrived else arrived...?

I suppose we have to take it as canon either way, seeing as it was made by them, although I still argue that it's not because Squenix made it and not the original team...I tell myself that alot...Im a walking contradiction :gasp:

I believe that Last Order is canon, despite the differences within the entire compilation. The only reason for this, is because if you read The Reunion Files, you get statements saying that it's official, but things are interpreted differently. They found it important for it to be interpreted in many different ways apparently. Not only that, but Last Order appears in the FFVII Ultimania, and is referred to quite often... it's even included in the time-line.
