Seeing as this is the First true outing for Final Fantasy on the Seventh Generation of Consoles. What are you expecting in terms of DLC, Online modes if any. Also what are your ideas for the 360 Achievements and PS3 Trophies?

I think it will be interesting to see if they include them, so I can't imagine what.
Perhaps for DLC they could give us extra summons or spells? That would make more sense than new characters and areas... Unless as a DLC they give us access to an area that had previously been locked during the game or something.

As for Trophies, perhaps they could dish them out for mastering spells and abilities. Or perhaps for getting to a certain part in the game, finding a hidden item etc. If they included them, it'll probably be something like that.

DLC its been shown can be anything from a swimsuit costume for lightning to Final Fantasy XIIII Episode 1 it'll be interesting to see what they do. As for achievements and Trophies they are mandatory for all PS3 and Xbox 360 games.

Suggestions obtained from FF13.net forum:

99,999 Damage - Deal 99,999 Damage
LVL. 99 (Single) - Single Character LVL. 99
LVL. 99 (Party) - Entire Party LVL. 99
Ultimate Weapons Collection - Collect All Ultimate Weapons
Steal Gil 100,000,000 - Steal One Million Gil
Monster Hunter - 100% Bestiary
Boss - Defeat All Bosses Including Optional Bosses
Hocus Pocus - 100% Complete Magic Collection
Cluttered Closet - 100% Complete Armor and Weapon Collection
Monster Collector - Collect All Summons
Sweet Tooth - Use 100 Potions
Undead - Use 100 Phoenix Downs
Target Practice - Character K.O.'s 100 Times

I'm sure it will be very similar to the trophies that were in Final Fantasy XII. I suspect there will be achievements for defeating certain bosses, completing portions of the storyline, unlocking summons, and completely special requirements. It will be varied and more about completion than actual unique achievements like killing a monster with a poison spell or something...

Hmmm how about 300 or 250 Gamerscore to beat the game? Yeah a good achievement would be to play alot of hours and kill alot of monsters. Kill 1000 monsters should be like 50 g or something.

In terms of DLC...I would be okay with Square taking the RockStar approach, and offer the download of a second story that is separate, but lasts in the same world as the main story and have a few minor cross overs between stories where they intersect.

How about some acheivements for some secret stuff in the game. Maybe ffxiii can have some acheivements for doing sidequests. As for online what can we have an online adventure maybe? An online minigame mode would be better though.

I am not a very big fan of downloadable content. Most of the times the DLC packs come out not long after the game is released which is a really a dirty trick to get a bit more money with something that can be implimented in the game. I think I would only consider downloadble content if it is actually something pretty big, something so big that I can't possibly imagine what that would be. If it is something like a few new weapons and spells then I probably won't be purchasing that as that is something that could easily be put in the game prior to release.

As for Achievements/Trophies probably the usual things like

Learning an ability
Completed disc 1 (PS3 could probably give a Trophy for progressing that part of the story)
Completed disc 2 (" ")
--Any other extra discs here--
Complete the game
Learning All abilities/Spells (possibly even have abilities and spells seperate)
Beat Optional bosses (Lost Odyssey has listed them all seperate so they could also do that)
Complete all sidequests (They could also split this up with having seperate achievements for bigger sidequests)
Single character to level 99
All characters to level 99
Use special abilities a certain amount of times

I don't want online, I think SE would really mess it up. They did a great job on XI from what I've heard and they've done a great job with other FF titles but I don't think they could combine the two in one game (if it were to be that sort of online play, which is they only way I think FF can go online). I don't want a really good game accompanied by a shitty online thing, I'd rather them focus on the game.

As for achievements/trophies I'd agree with all the suggestions above, they could be put into XIII, although I'm hoping rather than expecting trophies in the PS3 version since only games licensed in 2009 onwards for the PS3 have to have trophies in which XIII was licensed in 2005/06 or something like that.

As for DLC, again I don't see what they can really do. However, it might be like other games with spin-off like chapters released every so often or new summons/weapons etc introduced. Either way they'll rip us off...again >.>
