Recently i was about to start a new Game on Final Fantasy VIII, I put it in my Playstation and everything was fine and i clicked on new game and the cutscene at the start was Jumpy and wouldn't run smoothly... It got all the way to the bit where Rinoa let go of the feather and it floats into the air.. then it freezes before it comes back down as a sword.

The same happened with FFIX Disk 1 on the first cutscene as well. they have worked fine before and it doesn't look like there are many scratches on the game

Try a disk cleaner anyhow. There have been times where the game data on my disks would act funky and nothing would appear damaged on the disk until I used my disk cleaner, then all of the sudden everything is perfect again. If that doesn't work, try cleaning the inside of your PS (with a cutip or a thin cloth.) If you feel you need to use water or cleaning alcohol, unplug the PS first before you do so to clean. And if that doesn't work, I don't know what to tell you. Those are my two main working solutions I use when something like that happens to me.

Obviously you could try them on another playstation and if they work it's your playstation.
What kind of playstation do you have ?

Since this isn't really a problem that's FFVII related, I'm going to shift this over to Computing and Technology. :)

That sometime's happen's when I play ps1 game's on my ps2

I found that ps1 game's that I play on my ps2 whether they have scratches or not tend to sometime's skip or not load but when I play them on my ps1 they run perfectly.

All I can say is clean the disk and whatever ps system your using or try the disk's on another PlayStation.

On the PSP, you'd have to make a Playstation Network (PSN) account, and depending on what game you want, you can buy it from the Playstation Network Store (but not without putting money in your account first). Chances are higher that they'll be in the store if it's a currently out PSP game or PS1 game.

7.99 For VII, VIII and IX, I probably buy them all from there but my PSP memory Card is only 512Mb i think i'll need at least a 2GB one to just download one of them alone

Well, it's not really a Computer and Technology issue either, JJ. :lew: Seeing as how it's strictly related to Playstation, I'll move it there.
