Don't know whatever such a thread has been already created or not...
I'll simply assume it wasn't and make one :P

As the title suggests, it is about similarities between different FFs.
One person chooses two FFs (for example FF7 and FF8) and the person below writes one thing that was similar between the games in his opinion. Then he chooses another two FFs.

*Don't write stupid similarities like: They both have similar name or the similar battle system. Write either about similar characters or similar parts in plot.

Example (for those who didn't get it anyway, as I am not an expert in explaining :))

Person X is the one who started the game (it is me in this case)

----------------------------------------------------------------

Person X: FFVII & FFVIII

---------------------------------------------------------------

Person Y: I think Squall and Cloud are very similar. They both try to act like they don't care about others and try to be cool. And both, later in the game, become more friendly. I like Squall better though, as he thinks non-stop, just like me :P (can't turn off my brain).

FFI & FFI

---------------------------------------------------------

Person Z: They pretty much similar in many ways. One very similar point in the plots of both games, is that there is a part in which your are attacked by a lot of pirates (8 or 6 I think) and they always very weak :P.
Was kinda funny. Felt like FFI is an alternative version of FFII (in a different dimension or something :highfive:).

FFX & FFXII

---------------------------------------------------------------------

Hope you got the idea.

FFX & FFXII

since you said X and XII last, i'll compare those two. they are hardly similar in my opinion.

Other than the fact that the male lead is a little eager at times and that eagerness is

hated by some. also, both games basically give you freedom to grow your characters

freely in terms of ability. Their stories are very much different though. well...they both

involve a female on a quest to save whats important to them in some way

FFIII and FFIV

FFIII and FFIV

Both have stories that become expanded as time goes on. You can't see the final goal until the end. You have many smaller missions that preceed the last final one, if that makes sense? But then that is like most FF perhaps.
