I was trying to figure out where to get the diamond armlet, without buying it from Stok. In the guide it says somewhere but not where in that location.

You can buy it from a small village in the Estersand (has a gold crystal save there). It's the little village where you'll have to cross a river on a boat (part of the "Key back to Barheim" quest).
There's a wayward merchant there, the guy sitting down.
However, I didn't see it show up until after I got done with the Pharos tower.
BUT! I have heard some people say that it can be stolen from the bombs in the Great Crystal. When you first take the way stone into the crystal, you can take one of the paths directly leading to the "Cancer" gate stone. 2 or 3 bombs will show up when you get there. Much easier to attempt a steal there than deeper in, where they'll come at you in droves....and much more powerful.
I have NOT tried this myself yet, and this is second-hand info, so it may or may not be true. Equip with thief's cuffs and give it a try!

Thanks for the help. I already completed the Pharos, so I will try there. Hopefully it will be sold there, if not ill try the bombs. Well thanks 
alright, I did not want to wait this long and I got it in my late 30's well Vaan is 45 but everyone else is 39~
Tchita Uplands, one of the bottom islands "Garden of lifes circle" there is a chest that spawns there about 10% of the time and drops Diamond armlets 50% of the time, there is a zone to another island just a few feet north east so it was easy to get the coffer to pop, got the armlets on my first try :>
I know they can repop but I would save and then come and keep rezoneing until you see it pop at the edge of the island to the south east middleish area.. Good luck

I never bought one. I have one, yet I have absolutely no idea where I got it. I think I got it somewhere around Mt. Bur Omisace, but I don't really remember. I think it sometimes spawns in a chest in the stillshrine of Miriam now that I think about it, but, again, your best bet is to go with the other things, unless you aren't that far yet.
