Dex?

more chances of a successful attack so if the monster the u fight has 50 eva and u have 5 dex then u won't land a successful attack bcoz the monster is goin to evade ur attack so havin more dex is better.
 
DEX gives you more accurate hits. The main thing to do is have your STR higher than DEF of opponent and DEX higher than EVA of opponent. DEX subtracts the amount or totally eliminates the amount of evasions of opponent.

DEX means dexterity
 
well, i was fighting several opponents, they had about 18-20 EVA, i had 21 DEX, afterward i dropped my DEX to 5 and increased my health and STR, and i did seem to hit more accurate... however, i did change my large broadsword to the shadow dagger dropped by the Lich(if i'm not mistaken)

but maybe i was just plain lucky with my hits

Like I said, there are other factors. DEF of opponent and your STR can effect how well you hit. If your STR is low, you will also get evasions as well as bad hits. But as DS said, you will see the importance of DEX when your opponents have EVAs of 90 to 100.
