Just heard this on the TV, DH is going to be filmed into 2 partas as producers dont want to cram so much into one movie and leave parts on the editing floor.

Im not sure if Im happy or annoyed. Fair enough keeping everything is great, but are the first part is going to be released in 210, the other in 2011!

What do you think?

And make sure you use spoiler tages please guys. People still havent finished the book or even started it yet!

What people dont seem to realise is that harry potter is not a book for kids espicially 5, 6 and seven (cba with names) and so they will dumb it down for all the people who take their children to see it, thats my main problem with it.
I have no problem with it being split into two movies, they should have done it with the order of the phoenix, as its the longest book over 700 pages or something like that. Considering that the LOTR books where only about 400 each, i think its best to split it into two movies so as to not miss out important parts

I think it's great, provided that nothing happens to any of the characters in between filming the two movies. I only wonder how they're going to name it "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows : Part One" or just give them two new different names, which would annoy me.

I'm a little relieved though, as I was worried how they were going to cram everything into a single movie. I have that fear for book 6 too.

Well, this is a good thing to hear. Hopefully it will make the film version, the best it can be. There's nothing worse then a hacked up version, of a beloved book, on screen. I realize movies cannot be perfect translations of the books, but lord, Goblet of Fire - to me, was wretched and Order wasn't all that much better. I'm going to be hopeful, of course, and see what they do with Half Blood Prince and Deathly Hallows. Must have hope!
