Ok, browsing youtube, found a lovely video that just straight up makes me hate the FDA even more than i already do. They are putting million of kids at risk by not pulling poisoned candy from the shelves. This candy is, ironically, made in China and has already caused 50,000+ cases and many deaths because of the Poisoning. Apparently, any candy made in china containing Milk Powder or something similar has this toxin in it and it can cause your kidneys to shut down and tons of other problems that can kill you.

And, of course, the FDA isn't saying a damn thing because it's not only so close to haloween, but it's election time and if they pull stuff now, they could lose their seats at the FDA.

Your thoughts?

ummm all i can say to this is
Those BAST*DS why do people do this i mean come on a seat in the FDA or sue cases because they wont take back stupid candy

what a load of SH!T tbh

All things considered, keeping that poisonous candy out there is just stupid, not only do they have to be seriously heartless jerks to keep people's lives at risk, but they're also being foolish.

This is pretty sad to hear, just letting people continue to buy the candy and quite possibly just die from it... Not saying anymore in this post, I could elaborate, but I could go on forever, so...nvmd.

OK, also noticed that this is the same toxin that caused the pet food recall earlier this year ( or was it last year?). Think about that, it's bad enough to kill our pets and they go ahead and put it in our food? This is bullshit.

So they have went that far? Well now that's just stupid, so it is like they are out for people's lives, and that is just sick, seriously...

I would say everyone that can, watch that video and send it to everyone you can. Most other countries besides the US have already pulled this candy from their shelves.

With so few days before Halloween, word of mouth seems to be the only way to spread this news.

So...avoid milk.

I think I'll just watch out for those skull candies. They look delicious, but not delicious enough to outweigh my fear of life-threatening illnesses.

I did hear about the tainted milk from China that was made into an issue several weeks ago, and now this. That's seriously messed up. I mean, the rest of the world are re-calling these items, so why not the U.S? Oh right, yeah. The damn election. I know it's not 100% certain that these candies contain melamine or other toxins, but since there have been no test results or documentations by the FDA, the threat is definitely there. And I certainly don't wanna take any chances, so I'll be very alert when my daughter eat candies later this week. (Only limit it to Snickers, Twix, Kit Kat, etc. - none of those oddball candies).

In relation to this, read this articles as well:

http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20081028...nted_eggs_4;_ylt=Ak8F6tAaRGLPatGmRgYy3xIR.3QA

^ I guess they found some traces of melamine on eggs from China's Wal-Marts and they are re-calling the eggs at this moment. I hope OUR eggs are okay...

Apparently though, the reason why there's melamine on these products is because they want to make it seem like there is more protein in the products, so they risk it and add melamine to make more profit. How ridiculous is that?

I also went ahead and moved this to Bone Village. Seems more appropriate there.

It just gets worse and worse doesn't it?

Ohh, speaking of those candies you mentioned. http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/news/2097420/posts

Guess whats in those pitcures? Seriously, this problem is getting worse and worse and is spreading to more and more sources.

Heck, even cadbury, one of my favorite candies ( caramel filled chocolate eggs, mmmmmmm) is having sign of poisoning.

I just don't know what to say anymore... This is turning into a epidemic of sorts and the FDA ain't doin shit because they don't want to lose their jobs.

Oh, gawds. I feel bad for working at Target now... I had no idea! O_O To think that I may have contributed to such a thing is not a good feeling...

I've seen stuff like this. I think that there was something in an issue of Newsweek saying that a snack food made and sold only in China grew facial hair on young boys and breasts on young girls. Not like preteens- kids about 5 or 7 years old.
We have got to stop exporting our labor. If we do, then there will be more jobs here in the US of A, which will lessen unemployment, and thus stopping our depression. Plus, there are stricter laws for food factories here than in China.

If only they would stop, but they've become dependant on others for damn near everything because it's cheaper. Lazy & greedy bastards are gonna be the death of us one day. Maybe sooner if they keep shit like this happening. I really don't want kidney failure tyvm. So i'm hoping they'll announce this shitstorm before they get too far up shat creek with no paddle OR boat.

I think that it's really unresponsable of the FDA.

Ok, the elections are point, but thousands of human lives are somewhat more worth, I think.

Last month there was this article about these white rabbits(Also chinese) , where the package had some toxic stuff inside, which then went over onto the candy...

OK NOW I AM PISSED I MEAN WHAT IS SO IMPORTANT TO THEM THEIR JOB OR THE LIVES OF PEOPLE IN AMERICA.They better take those off the shelf or when i get older i will march over to where they are and kick there asses.

Well, thing is, it can take weeks, months to appear in your body and form in one location, so in the next few months, expect to hear lotsa lovely news about kids with kidney failures and whatnot.

What i am really worried about is my friend she ate those chocolate coins that has that melamine in it and i am kind of scared that in the next weeks or months her kidney would stop working and she would die i mean she is my friend well i guess i will watch and she if she gets sick in the next months or weeks and the same day i told all my friends about that melamine in the candy one of their moms bought it.

Well, it doesn't affect you as much the older you get, it's more of a problem for the kids (age 2-10 or so) because their immune system is not developed and body can't handle it as well as teenagers and adults.
