After listening to Dark Messenger last nite, (the music in the final boss battle in FFIX, against Kuja, (i say final, i try to ignore the battle against Necron), i have noticed that the main riff of that theme sounds a lot like the main riff in 'Carry on my wayward son', by Kansas-which i know from playing Guitar Hero 2, anyway.....
I'm not trying to say that Nobuo Uematsu was listening to classic 70s rock for inspiration, because that would be very unlikely.....
Maybe its just a very weird coincidence, or maybe i'm just deaf....

I mean, don't get me wrong, the two pieces of music couln'd be more different from each other, but its just that main riff, its almost identical in both....i dunno
