Ex-Soldier
Alright, I decided to load up and play my old file again after not even touching it since around mid-december.
I have been going back and putting the time and effort into the other weapons that I am missing (Tournesol & Danjuro). I didn't wanna do it back then cause I realized you would have to sell and make a lot of different crap in the Bazaar just for Tournesol, it reminds me of the Synethesith shop from KH2 and the trouble I went for Ultima Weapon but it seems more complicated in FFXII, I didn't feel like Item Hunting and back then no one figured out how to obtain Danjuro.
Anyways, I just want to know if Danjuro is worth my time? I've already killed LarvaEater so many times and a majority of the time he doesn't drop anything. When I see that +80 Damage it doesn't exactly put a smile to my face. But then again I begin to wonder if it has any Stat Boosts or Status Effects (Like how WyrmHero Blade has Faith & Bravery even though it doesn't say it unless you equip it).
Or... is Danjuro your typical Dagger? Equippable with a Shield, weaker than a one handed sword but fast at attacking? Larva Eater is a constant reminder of why I stopped searching for rare items. It's too annoying with FFXII's random treasure/drops. Even with Diamond Armlet you spend an eternity trying to get what you want.
Aside from the Danjuro, are there any special requirements for Luxollid? I can't seem to encounter this Elemental and I want the Staff of the Magi from it (I'm one of the few people that DOES rely on Magic as they get the job done quicker than weapons).
EDIT: I've been doing the LarvaEater/Danjuro side quest on Waystone 14, constantly moving back and forward between the Waystone and Leo Gate 1. At the same time I've been trying to obtain the Treasure behind Leo Gate 1. The only Treasure I cared about when I first came here was Excalibur and I already got that. But I recently took an interest in the Zodiac Escutcheon and I've been trying to obtain it in this area (and Barheim Passage), but I don't know which treasure chest that item spawns in. The Brady Games Strategy Guide ain't really useful when it comes to things like this.
