Damn Carrot

I'm having trouble killing the carrot. I have him almost dead and then he starts the big damage.
can anyone help me out?
is there only one way to get the zodiac spear?

Where is the Carrot at? I can't even find him.

the carrot is in the silkia woods. you can't kill any enemies till you meet up with the chick with the bunny ears. then she will tell you the carrot is near.

Yeah, I did that but there is nothing in the area she is at except for those bunnies.

I'm getting ready to do this hunt as well. Just finished off Ixion.

With some of the hunts, you have to exit one screen and then go back to get the creature to show up. I don't know if that's the case with this one, but I'm gonna try it here in a few minutes. I'll let ya know what I find out.

You can't kill anything from the time you enter the woods, or it won't appear. Carrot is over toward the southwest corner if I remember right.
