D3efault or lighter skin?

Hi,

First off, as you may have noticed, I'm new here.

I don't mean to be a nit-picking jerk-off or some bloat who is very peticular, but I noticed there was only the default skin to choose from as a 'lighter' variant of the forum. While this is all fine and dandy (I don't like the darker skin as I find myself needing to highlight some members' text to read it on the darker background, these damn eyes of mine), I noticed that on the default vB skin, the shoutbox does not show up (along with the other nifty features, dashboard, etc).

If it's not too much trouble, can the default vB skin (or if you have a lighter skin) be outfitted with these nifty features (shoutbox, dashboard, etc).

There should be three skins available -

Default Style
FFF Forums v1
Mercurial Version Dark II

I use the middle one, since it's not as dark, and it has all the features too.

I use the FFForums v1 [Fixed] version.

It's a lot lighter and easier on the eyes and you don't have to highlight members text as much unless they're really using a dark blue or black or something.

And it still has all features that the new Mercurial Version Dark II has just like the post above mentioned. =)

Yeah, maybe it's just my work, because it seems a whole lot darker at work, and therefore, everyone's text is hard to read. I'm at home on the same skin and I can see it alright, so I guess it's just me.

Sounds like it's most likely your monitor settings at work. Try messing with those color and lighting settings and see if you can't get it to show up better at work. If not, feel free to switch it to FFForums v1 Fixed.

This. I've not had to highlight peoples' text in months because my monitors a little bit bright, and now the lighter version is too light for me.

As for your question, I use mine. I created history.
