In the opening of FFIII there's fmvs, well cutscenes in a gorgeousss quality, I havn't played it much... do you get to see the fmvs further in the game?
Does anyone else like it? It's pretty cute ^_^

No there's none of those high quality FMV's in the game. Probably a good thing because they would look horribly out of place with the in game graphics.

I really liked FFIII. Sure it didn't exactly have a mind blowing story, but it was an NES game. And it was nice and difficult. XD

Its kinda cool how they only show an opening FMV - kinda like a trailer, they probably didn't include anymore because as Rydia said it would look terribly out of place, and the DS wouldnt be able to store more than like 3 in its game cartridge.

Actually, you'd be suprised.

Just look at what Square did with Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories to the GBA. Several movies, sound samples, and fast gameplay. If there is one company which would be able to make full use of the DS-hardware it would be them.

The spesifications of the DS are similiar to that of a PC around 1997/8, and close to the first Playstation. (better memory; a bit slower graphics on the DS)
--------

Anyway, as most say, FMVs in the game would be breaking the whole feeling of the game (firstly: continuity in level design), and would maybe disappoint (new) players every time the FMV ended and we're back in a more simplistic world.

But surely the end is also a FMV?

No the end is not an FMV. It's the same graphics you get through the entire game. It would have been quite random to throw in a high quality FMV at the end and it would have looked way out of place because your going from cartoonish characters to realistic looking characters.

The only FMV is at the beginning.
But in all its glory its still a a pretty good game, the graphics are pretty sweet and the story has been improved alot, you should still pick it up.

See, I look really forward to those ending FMV's like in had in FFV and in FFVI. Those were all done beautifully for games that were made in the Old School graphics style. Even though FFIII doesn't have the ending sequence like FFV and FFVI does, I'm sure the plot, battle system, and characters all make up for the lack in graphics' display.

There's not much of a plot but the battles were hard.
I love the job system though ^_^

There was a plot, it was a huge improvement to the NES game that I played.
It might not of been the equivalent to FFVII's Plot but it still was there.

Hmm...hearing that there's no more FMV's except for the opening part is dissapointing me. >_< I thought the opening FMV was beautiful and expected to see more...ah,well.It's still a good game and that's all that really matters. ^_^

I really dont see a future for this thread. People are going off topic and the question as basically been answered.

*Closed* Oh and if any mods feel like this thread should continue, do you mind explaining it to me first please?
