Graphics Forum Guidelines

Here's a couple of rules/guidelines that the members should follow in the Creativity Inspiration forum. They aren't hard to follow:
  • Don't post just a rating (10/10). It's preferable that you say some comments on the work, or even give suggestions. One line posts, or just a rating may be considered spam.
  • Please, don't post too many threads in a short period of time. If you have multiple works to show, post them in a single thread. At the most, 3 new threads per day.
  • When naming the new thread, don't post anything generic, like "New sig", or "Made by me". It's better if you put a mini-description of the work, like "(character name) signature", or something more original.
  • For pictures bigger than 500x500, post the picture in the form of link instead of image. Anything bigger than this will be cut off, making your work look tacky.
  • Depending of the content of the image (yaoi, yuri, blood, gore, etc...), in the topic name, put a warning, like *YAOI* in the end. Many people feel offended when viewing those, so this would avoid people seeing what they don't want to.
  • Don't post hentai, neither porno in any way. Those will be deleted, and the poster may be permanently banned from the forums.
  • Critiques should be done in a constructive way. Saying something like "It sucks" will be considered spam. Instead, point the problems you see, and, if you're willing to, give suggestions to fix the problems. Bad ones may be considered spam and will be warned accordingly.
  • We'll be giving gil to the members that posts their works here. Signatures, wallpapers... we'll be giving a small ammount of gil per work. You can see if your work have been "rewarded" if you see a *gilled* in the end of your first work. We will reward work that we feel is good or if we believe that it is a good improvement for that particular member.
  • By posting a piece of graphic's work in this section, you declare it to be your own (unless you state otherwise in the post). If you are found to be claiming others work as your own, you will be banned from the forums.
  • Don't bump threads that have been postless for over a week, unless for a good reason. This is really annoying for other members and will result in the thread being closed. So please don't do it.
Good Criticism Guidelines

Noticing on how criticism is being done here, I've decided to add some tips on how to make some good criticism. Here's an idea on how to do it:
  • First of all, look for what is bad, or what you didn't like. Then, put them in the post, but just don't say somewhat "sucks". Say what is wrong, like the colours in a bg, how bright things are, etc, and if possible, how to correct those problems.
  • A good criticism usually comments on all the main parts of a sig: backgroud, typography (the text), stock (pictures used in the sig), borders and any other additional things (animations, cutting, etc).
  • For criticism values, rating a sig is no good. Criticism is made to help people to get better, so putting a rating won't help at all. Putting just a rating is spam.
  • To finish, comment on what you really liked, so the person know what it's right.
See? It's not that hard to make a good criticism. Remember that just ratings and comments is spam, so refrain from putting just "I like your sig!", or "It sucks".

Plagiarism

Do to the recent amount of plagiarising that many of our members have experienced on other forums, we have devised a set of guidelines in case you find that one of your works has been stolen.
  • First, you should PM a Moderator (preferably a GFX one) with a link to your plagiarised work. While many of you may feel the need to start a thread on it, in most cases, it's generally NOT a good idea if you get half the forum involved.
  • Provide proof that the work is yours. A PSD file would be the best thing you can provide. This is solid proof that the signature is indeed yours. This will make things much easier in the long run, because it won't turn into a your word against theirs type of thing. IF you no longer have the PSD file, you're probably going to have to provide another form of proof.
  • While we would HIGHLY RECOMMEND that you wait until everything gets sorted out before posting in the offending forum, if you INSIST on posting, we ask that you keep FFF out of it. While we have taken precautions to prevent "forum invasions," that last thing we need is an entire forum pissed at us because one or two members couldn't keep their mouths shut.
Now, we know that your pride might be wounded over this, but the best thing to do is to act like the responsible adult. Going into another forum and flaming and breaking lose hell is only going to make it harder for it to get resolved, seeing as we're going to need the other forums co-operation as well.

Piracy Policy

Software piracy is strictly prohibitted on FFF. This would mean that you're not allowed to request any copyrighted material (softwares included), let alone distribute them.

Any threads requesting this kind of material will be closed and slummed without notice, and any links for downloading those will be removed. The members involved, inlcuding the thead creator, will be warned accordingly.
