you know what they say ignorance is bliss. personally id like to be like that while the worlds like it is , but when it turns to shit id like to be like i am, for one main reason to survive. like if bird flue manages to become able to infect from person to person, the goverment will quarantine people until the virus runs out of people to infect. they dont care aslong as they are ok, but heres the kick in the pants for them the drugs they will use to protect themselves "tamiflu" wont work because they are designed for another bird flu.
But bird flus happened before in the early 1900's bird flu wiped out 2/3 of the worlds population, funny how noone remembers that eh?
 
2/3 of the population thats baaad, and i didn't even care about the last birdflu pandemic scare, i think it was last year.....again, thats very baaad, maybe the planet will be able to recover when 2/3 of the people will die.....but somehow i think that this will be very unlikely, and again, i grew up not expecting things like that to happen, living in a sheltered society. Also the oil will run out soon, then the only way to drive massive economies, would be to sell arms, which means starting wars....
 
you right we do live in a sheltered society. i didnt know about these things when i was younger but they just seem too creep up on you. take bird flu the last time it happened it wiped out 2/3 of the global population. Now today we as the public think that if bird flu gets out the scientists will save us. But last time most of the people died within a year this was when it took months to go places not like now where it takes hours to go somewhere so the virus will get all over the world fast. by the time the scienctist have figured bird flu out wed all be dead. but the thing is bird flus been round ever since there were birds its just with intensive farming we have allowed it to get like this.
Goverment like us to feel safe i means they have an easy job since they arnt questioned or threatened.
 
Yeah, so if the government wants us to feel safe and not to panic, they will have to do a lot of censoring, and control the media.....thus creating a sheltered society....but i think people relise that they arent told everything, but they just don't bother doing anything about it, they have their own busy lives, and are forced to contribute to the economy.
 
They think that they have busy lives, but compared to a hundred years ago they are not that busy. its just bone idleness and the lack of free thinking is caused by it bing drilled out of them. People without the will power to think for themselves are filled full of crap by the goverment. They get to us through all different ways for example supermarkets. Now supermarkets are big surporters of goverments, since they always donate vast somes of money to each party. this is because they need goverments help to eliminate the competition from independant bussinesses, by forceing through building plans without public consent. this means that every body has to shop at the same place. this is good for goverments because for that short time you spend there the goverments through propaganda can freely mess with your mind and since there is no off button you have to let it into your mind. So supermarkets and goverments are in each others pockets.
 
I myself, go to a supermarket to do my shopping, its convienient, you can buy almost anything, and its cheaper, but i cant be bothered to change......arrgh, and yeah you're right when you say that the society is limiting free thinking amongst the people, i mean all those people stuck in dead end jobs, where their only source of entertainment is going 'out' on a friday night, they have regressed almost to a basic primieval state where they work, they eat and they sleep, like a wild animal that hunts, eats and survives, just the laws of survival are different, the government is literally brainwashing these people....with the clever people doing the same but in different proportions...

But its true what you say. people have to go out to drown their sorrows. They finnish work on friday and then go and get pissed more often then not. This also works in the goverments favour. Its true people go and spend all there money to get pissed right, so tax. So they need to go back to work to get more money to pay bills and then get pissed, which drives the econamy and donates tax. Add the fact that alchols addictive and then there is no escape, you have to work to pay the bills, and since you are over worked (britains the longest workers in britain 40+ hours a week, compared to frances 30 hours) will make you depressed and turn to drink. The goverments got them by the balls, its a vicious circle.
 
We should fight the government by replacing alcohol with something like LSD, that would balls everything up.....although it would be very interesting to see, for example, if some other type of drug, other than alcohol, became so popular, it would totally outsell booze, the government would have to legalise it just to tax it, thus probably contradicting itself, as in the past it was against it....
 
Nah the goverment wont legalise it , theyd make it a C class drug and make it easy to get hold of then fine anybody caught in possesion of it. This way good revinue and keeps the do-gooding pressure groups off there back.

id rate them about the same actually. Both probably know more about us then we do. We all probably have a serial code and risk assesment based on all we done in our lives.
I think that we've done quite well. we have 50+ posts on how the goverments screwing us in every way.
Maybe we should talk about how britains culture has taken a nose dive . like a few weeks ago when that fella was up on that roof throwing tiles off the roof and wouldnt get off until hed had some KFC. or that girl that kicked a guy in the face when he was hanging off a building.
 
Seriously, he was throwing roof tiles, just because he wanted KFC? that must have been some finger-licking chicken....and yeah, most of Britains culture is going down the shitter, but i could say tha same about some of the other European countries, maybe not the extent of Britain though.

Britain has the highest teenage pregnancy rate in Europe, amongst other 'records'. Why is that? In some European countries, mainly in the north, Scandinavia area, most of the people there know how to 'behave'....
But theres still the question, who decides that 'Chav' culture is bad, its only a problem because you've grown up with the idea of a 'perfect' society, which was forced upon you, people are being influenced by the society, so who influences society?, The people? Is the society just a the preferred lifestyle and culture as commanded by the people? or by the 'government'?
So are the 'chavs' the true free thinkers, or is it the governments aim for everyone to wear Burberry and Lonsdale jumpers?

Yer, i know, the Russians are obviously doing something dodgy....the world is getting desperate for resources these days.....and Russia recently 'claimed' the North Pole.....i could have done that....if i put my flag on it, it could have been mine, damn....
 
Methinks that the government realised Terrorism is boring to the people, and Nuclear war is far more scary in order to give us something to fear.

Has anybody heard about what the russians have done.
In one of there small villages near a nuclear reactor there was an accident. the aftermath caused the village to become radio active. The russian goverment offered to subsidise the people but not enough to rehouse them. Some time later people stated to develop cancers and other illnesses. So the goverment sent scientists to "investigate" They took the babies that couldnt be born due to mutation and preserved them and keep them in a museum.
