I'm bored and hungry, so I'm gonna take care of both of those by trying to make some scrambled eggs. The fear of somehow burning the house down will cure the boredom. If I succeed in making eggs that are edible, then that'll take care of the hunger. It's a long shot. My cooking abilities don't extend far beyond poptarts, cereal and toast.

Anywho, how good are you guys at cooking? Can you prepare a respectable meal? Or are you like me, burning toast until you ask your mommy to make something for you? Oooh, or order a pizza. I tend to do that in lieu of making something.

Im absolutely PANTS at cooking, I burn everything. Last time I made scrambled egg I made myself ill, altho tbf, eggs dont agree with me so it might have been that.

I burn everything I put in the oven and can rarely get it right. Last tim I made Spag bol I burnt it...Im tooo paranoid about undercooking so it always fucks up

Oddly enough tho, I can make a good sunday dinner and banana bread but that's about it >_<

I'm alright at cooking. I hardly burn anything, but I can make delicious meals if I'm really into it and have the time to do so. Mind you, my culinary skills aren't extraordinary, but since my dad taught me a bit on how to cook filipino food, I managed and learned a thing or two from him...although I don't appreciate his ungrateful remarks every time he tells me how it should be done. -.-

My mum is just as bad as I am so lckily I never get those kida comments, and my dad, well he fries eggs in the microwave...so there was really no hop for me tbh...

My mate is an EXCELLENT cook tho, I love going round to hers because I always end up eating somethiong good that's not toast xD

My cooking is really bad. Lets just say I'm on my second oven.

I'm horrible at following directions, and once I get distracted, thats when everything just goes to hell. I'm getting a little better though, setting timers and stuff so I don't burn anything, but when I'm rushed sometimes I forget.

I've gotten good ever since I started watching the FOOD network. I made this hamburger helper-like dish using all ingrediants by scratch. It was so fucking good, I had thirds! And two nights ago, I made a grilled egg-cheese sandwich. O.O it was to die for...

ignore that last sentence. I'm trying to keep my gay-o-meter at a steady level.

I used to be an awful cook, which is not good considering both my Mum and Dad are excellent cooks. The problem with me, is that I'm always so scared that I'm gonna undercook something and then I'll eat it and like die or something. Yeah sad I know.

But I've been reading my Mum's Japanese cookbook (yeah ok, I'm sad I know), and been practicing a few things from in there, and I'm getting better a bit I think.

And also, I made my first burger where I didn't have to cook it so much it actually became a piece of charcoal, and, praise the lord, I didn't get struck with food poisoning! Wooooooop!

George Foreman grills are all I need. I literally live off grilled bacon and sausages.

Absolutely, cooked some 100% beef burgers from frozen today. Came out quite nicely.

Brilliant. You really can't cook wrongly on those things! I'm going to fire it up for a 00:30 Burger!

(are you really in Bahrain right now or are you pretending to be Lewis Hamilton? :neomon:)

I do well enough that I can survive on my cooking, but I only know a few "recipes", so not much variety.

But I'm happy at my ability to make rice in the rice cooker ^^

olol, im ptretending to be lewis hamilton because i live the F1

I think i shall invest in one of those grills this weekens :monster:

I suck. I messed up those eggs. Didn't know the pan had to be really hot in order to grip the egg yolk.

Ooh, grills! I can grill, at least. Sorta. The chance of severe burnage (as in my skin--not so much the food) is always lingering.

Its pretty hard to screwup scrambled eggs. A hint, don't use miik. Use a good nonstick frying pan and plastic flipping device so you do not scratch the nonstick suface.

Ok, set the burner to low heat and melt some butter. When the butter is melted, throw in the mixed eggs (Use two or three fresh grade A eggs.) Set the burner to medium heat. Do not set it any higher or you will burn the eggs. Continue to mix the eggs until they get a golden solid state.

See that is pretty easy. If you live by yourself long enough or spend some time in the military, you will learn how to cook to survive. Simple as that.

I bought my grill the other day, its pink aswel. Win. I havent used it yet tho, I actually need some food for tat

I made a pizza theother day tho, and my oven wasn't working so I uedthe grill...now that leads me to wonder if thats why iv been ill these past couple of days o_O

iv lived alone for years and i stilll can't cook -_-

I said long enough. Maybe you didn't get to the point wherel you said to yourself "I better learn how to cook or else...". I got to that point fast. I actually share the cooking responcibilities with my wife. I am not sure who is the better cook. But I tell her she is. She does cook a few things I can't. I suck at baking. I did make bread and a few successful cakes. But thats it.

I do a mean omelette. I put a little cheese (American cheese), crumble some bacon in there (make sure its cooked bacon) and POW! a delicous bacon-cheese omelette. And here's a tip. If you want the cheese to be melty and good, use a cheese with milk because a cheese will oil will clump up (ex: chedder) and you'll have a big mess :(

i said cheese a lot :monster:...wow, that was cheesy...

olol, I reached that point ages ago, yet I'm still shite, I overcook practically everything, my poor daughter must hate me :wacky: I try following recepies and shit, but they are all greek to me, I need an idiots guide. I really do -_-
