confused about quickenings

hi im soo confused with how to use quickening chains, i was hoping someone knew cuz im stuck fighting a boss and i keep losing

well, I was at first too. what the quickenings do is they are better attacks, but they suck up all your mana(pretty sure you knew that part). But, to make them to have much effect, you need to have more than one character be able to use quickenings. They chain together for BIG combo damage. I've done up to about 15000 damage with one combo. Hope this helps.
 
When you have more then one person in your party with the quickening ability and has met the requirment to use it (has the full mana gauge isnt confused etc)and u use a quickening u enter a screen where one person performs there quickening. Now during this time in the lower right hand side ull see a list of all the characters and there might or might now be a significant button next to ther name (triangle, square, circle). Press on of those buttons and the next person does there quickening after(make sure sometimes u might have to press the same button more than once). If wen the next person comes up ther are no visible buttons press R2 and keep pressing it till a button comes up and press it.(sometime they will sumtimes u wont have enough time, so its skill and luck at the same time)

Hope this helps but it might be messy as it is Christmas and ive had a few drinks lol sorry
 
Also any time you see "Mist Charge" next to a persons name, hit that button. This will fill up that persons MP so they can cast more quickenings.
 
couldnt have given a better explaination of the quickening system myself .. in fact, I was going to word it exactly like that ... beat me to it ...
 
LOL well thats a surprise haha cuz i dont remember writting it! I had that much lol Christmas Party and Grandmas Birthday plus im russian so u know i had my share of drinks
 
i am not sure if it happens all the times, but always, i get a better chain using only 2 characters, than when i use all three characters with chains. ive got to no more than 9 chain with all three characters, but ive reached 13 chain with only 2.

Does this happen to only me?

No, sometimes i had the same feeling, i think because there are only two options when you press the R2 button so i fail less. But anyway the longest chain was 16 with 3 characters fighting zeromus, with 2 the longest was like 12.
