I was wondering. SE don't make sequals unless the first game is commercially successful.

So were KHI, KH:COM and KHII really that much commercially successful?

They are making 2 or 3 more games to the series in the same time and that is the same thing they do with FF, which is a long series.
I just can't stop thinking that the first KHs were TOTALLY commercially successful if they working on it as much as on the FFs despite the fact it has much less games then FF so far.

Kingdom Hearts isn't generally loved by all RPG/Final Fantasy players, by what I've seen most are, but not all. However, it's undeniable that Kingdom Hearts was fantastically successful, it's sold 5 million copies which is great considering Final Fantasy VII has sold 9.72 million or thereabouts and that's the most whored game in existance.

Chain of Memories sold well selling 1.76mil+ which I presume is very good for a GBA game though I never really followed GBA sales. Kingdom Hearts II has sold 3.30mil+ and has been out 4 years less than Kingdom Hearts and lastly, KH:358/2 Days which sold 510,000+ with a 1 or 2 months is fantastic considering it's only out in Japan so far, the popularity of that game just happened to be overshadowed by that fact Dragon Quest IX did stupidly well in sales figures.

So no matter whether people like Kingdom Hearts or not, they can't deny how well it's sold.
