I havent got to play as riku yet i was just wondering if you get any new cards. so do you?

You don't get cards that much in his story. His deck is predetermined and changes as the game goes on. The cards are pretty much the same with the exception of some Organization cards like Zexion and Lexeaus, among others.

And after each boss you acquire their card, e.g. defeating Oogie Boogie nets you his card, which casts regen on Riku.
