Coded on PSP Releasing 2009?

Rumors are still floating around, but this time the focus on the elusive mobile title Kingdom Hearts Coded! According to PSX Extreme, the buzz is that the title may release on the PSP as well sometime in 2009. Here's an excerpt:
"For now, Kingdom Hearts: Coded is only a mobile phone title, but according to European game site PS3Life, the title is also coming to the PSP. Supposedly, they're focusing on other more current titles in the hopper for now, which is why Square Enix hasn't revealed this as truth.

While that would be great news for Westerners wanting to play the game, there is no official word on it. Keep in mind that Square Enix ported other titles from mobile to PSP like FFXIII Agito and The 3rd Birthday. Therefore it's likely, we'll have to wait and see what happens at TGS 2008.​
 
I can't really see it happening to be honest, it would be good if it was ported but I'm not convinced Agito was ever going to be released of the mobile after it was 'suddenly' cancelled.

But looking at Coded scans etc, it generally looks more like a phone game so I think it will stay on the phones like that other Kingdom Hearts games that was.
 
I don't know if they will actually do it or not anymore, but who knows, they might (reference to CoM for the PS2 for North America; who saw that coming O_O).

But does coded have a significant storyline aspect to the KH series or is it a minor spin-off game?

It is supposedly a direct sequel to KH2, I think it tells what King Mickey's letter says.
 
oh... i think it's goin to be like the game ff7 before crisis were it's only for the phone... but i hope not! i really want more rpg ff or kh games for my psp!!!!
 
Why didn't I know about this game until now?! :gasp:

It's good to hear they're picking up at the end of KH2, I've been dying to know what Mickey's letter was all about. Hopefully they'll decide to release it on PSP as well because if it's left exclusive for mobile I'll probably never get to play it.

Honestly, I don't see why they don't just release it for PS3 or 360. I'm getting sick of everything coming out for portable consoles. At least I'm getting a lot of use out of my PSP though; I bought it mainly for Crisis Core, but now all this new stuff is coming out for it as well.
 
Kingdom hearts coded hmmm looks ok but not something amazing. Well if they release it on psp am sure people will buy it but are there any ff characters in this? Does not look like a game I would buy though.

He is wearing the same clothes as he did in the first KH,
but coming to psp is unlikely,
It's supposively more of a Puzzle game with action.
 
Now after i get a PSP i might buy that game but i don't know.
But for sure I am goin buy BBS =) plus coded is undoubtedly going to be a short game why waste around 30 bucks
 
I really do not think I will buy this game if it's only about puzzles which will get me pretty bored right away. KH is just not as good as Final Fantasy. I do not look foward to buying this game.
 
Hope so, obviously i thought that only i sawed that Agito XIII was changed from Mobile to PSP (50% of people thinks it always was ported to psp, never for mobile xD)

I'd have to agree with it never being meant for the mobile, even from the very first screenshots and trailer it never visually looked as if it was for the phone especially since the HQ surpass that which any phone could reproduce, I mean there's always a possibility they did start on mobile but to me it looks as if that project was scrapped...and quickly :gasp:

its a virtual sora not the real one, mickey goes to a virtual world of KH1 for sum reason i believe
 
I'd rather see it come out for PSP. There is very few mobile games that are even worth playing, I don't think a Final Fantasy title should be put on mobile anyway.

Kingdom Hearts isn't a Final Fantasy game >_<

And I kind of disagree. I mean, if it did come out on the PSP, I'd still get it, but after seeing what they were able to do with Birth by Sleep for the same system, I guarantee more people would just be annoyed at how crummy Re:Coded would've looked on it. I have not stats or anything, but how many mobile games got ported to the PSP?

And anyways, given that the DS game is coming out for the rest of the world only 3 months after Japan got their version, I'm all for somewhat lesser graphics to get the game faster :monster:
