cloud suprised

was cloud suprised when he saw sephiroth? I do not know. some people on the airship said he might have known, but the look in his eyes when he saw sephiroth told another story. so was he surprised or not? anyone know?

Hmm, I thought he was surprised in a sense. After all, Sephiroth is supposed to be dead, and well, he is the guy that killed someone very dear to him. It will most likely always be a shock to Cloud if he sees Sephiroth again.

Well yeah of course Cloud was surprised by Sephiroth reappearing as he is supposed to be DEAD. But too me Cloud knew he would beat Sephiroth. Even when Sephiroth trapped him Cloud still beat him. So in a sense I didnt think he was scared.

No, Cloud didn't believe he could beat Sephiroth. There's some quote from Nomura that speaks about how Cloud was trying his hardest during that fight and he felt it was useless against Sephiroth... or somethin' like that.

Sephiroth is his ultimate enemy. To Cloud, he represents all evil and bad assery in the world, he was surprised and I can bet, kinda scared, too.
