How do you get a chocobo? I can't seem to catch one for the life of me...

Exactly my thoughts too... I'm on disc 4 trying to get a chocobo so i can get back to the Ragnarok.

I was told to get a chocobo in order to get back to the Ragnarok after the time compression.

Chocobo's are in VIII. They are in the round bush things.

You had to acquire a whistle and find a certain spot and call the damn bird and then catch it. ;; Quite diffulcult to master if you ask me.

How do you get the whistle? And is it possible to get the whistle now on disc 4?

I remember going into those Round Bushes things and there is alittle boy in there that explains it all. How to get the whistle and everything.

Yeah you get a whistle for free at first but if the chocobos steal it then you'll have to buy another one.

Chocobo forests are all around the world, they look like big bush things like hayate said.
