It IS the real soundtrack. But there are 3 chocobo themes. The one above, and two more classic ones:

All three with different genres, with the chocobo melody integrated. There's a lot of variety in this OST.

OMG. I loled throughout.

I am now stoked for Final Fantasy XIII-2 if it has tracks like this. I'll give it my most "bizarre" soundtrack award.
