hey everyone, quick coulple of questions for you if you have a moment...

I'm just recently getting back into this game after a few years of absence...

I installed the chocobo racing/snowboarding patch(es), and I'm curious of something...

does the snowboarding patch (which slows down the race so you can actually play it) slow down the game clock as well? I feel that I'm progressing fairly into the game, but my game clock only shows 14 hours (about to enter Junon in the Big Materia quests)...

The main reason I ask is that I'm trying to breed for a gold chocobo, and I keep on getting the message that I can't breed newly mated or born chocobos - I feel like I've been waiting hours to re-breed my birds!

Does anyone know if there's a standard amount of time between breedings/births that you can breed them again?

Sorry for the long winded questions, I'm just a little confused...

Thanks!

ooh, so it's based on character level?!

so i guess my leaving the game up while i cleaned the house for over an hour was pretty pointless!

thx!

I think it might have to do with the number of steps you take... not sure though. Just level up a bit or do a few other sidequests while you're waiting. Maybe race your chocobos a bit, too. =] Or even, take this time to go get the nuts that you'll need to breed your gold chocobo.

Hmm... You know I could never figure out what the determining factor of Choco-breeding time was either!

I thought I read somewhere that it was based on the number of battles fought, so did you try killing a few more innocent little creatures who's only fault was wanting to tear you limb from limb, and seeing if that changed anything?
