Well I figured it wouldn't hurt to post a few things that I've done recently in photoshop for some critiques. Mind you I've only been using photoshop for about 5 months or so, and I'm completely self taught.

Avatars: (greatly oversized, but they always shrink to fit forums, its easier to work on a bigger canvas)

I thought this one was rather cute.

The colours are really attractive and the focal is well positioned.

The stars and rainbow go really well with the theme of the signature too.

The purple background could have been a bit brighter to liven it up a tad more though in my opinion.

Other than that very nice work.
