Anyone else kind of confused by Cecil's "theme" in the game?

Most characters' themes or "driving force" were pretty straight forward, but Cecil's wasn't.

At first, through his brother, his theme seemed to be about inner-strength. Then, later in his Odyssey, it seemed to be about the strength of companions. Kinda confused about his primary theme. Could anyone else tell me?

I think it was about making decisions for yourself. I can't think of a better way to word it, but if you think about it, the problem in the beginning was how he depended on everyone, and he resolved that problem and overcame his brother by not depending on, but believing in his companions. He still fought for and with them, and used his own inner strength to come to his decision, but in the end I feel like it was about him making his own choices.
