Multiple Platforms Castlevania

I enjoyed Cirlcle of the Moon (GBA). Besides that and the classics, I don't know what Castlevania's been doing. Personally, I find it hard to imagine a 3D one, but obviously they pulled it off for the N64 and whatever else. Maybe Ill youtube them sometime.

One of the first games I remember playing - actually in arcade version first because they had it in the grocery store we shopped at so I'd always play when I went with my mom.

Loved all 3 for the NES and Castevania IV for the SNES. Briefly played the one that first came out for N64 but haven't really touched the series since.

I pulled out Simon's Quest not to long ago for the first time in probably 15 years and ripped through it in a matter of a few hours. I don't remember the game being so ridiculously easy. Dracula's Curse is a different story.

I love the series. However I'm kind more of a fan of the Castlevania games made from Castlevania Nes to Symphony Of The Night. Doesn't mean I didn't like any of the games made after SOTN, I just like the older "classicvania's" more. In my opinion the DS/GBA castlevania's were kind of lacking in something that SOTN had. I also kinda wished they didn't constantly use the SOTN game play style for every game made after SOTN. Maybe balance it out with an occasional action adventure side scroller, I mean what ever happened to the classic 2D side scrolling action adventure style of Super Castlevania IV?

As for 3D vania's, 64 was a big disappointment, control wise especially. Lament Of Innocence was the only one that came out alright, in my opinion, but it still could've been better, instead of a Devil May Cry copy. If anyone ever played the Medievil series on PSone, you might understand better why Castlevania in 3D could've been much improved.

I will say Castlevania has some of my most favorite music of any video game series.

Damn, I think I had every single Castlevania game on the NES. I played the hell out of those. They were very fun too. I wouldn't mind playing them again at all. However, the game that made the biggest impact on me was Castlevania 64. I never really got past the first few areas, but damn, that game was fun! Watching Dad play was fun, and even doing the same part over and over was hella fun.
