You get gil when you are able to play the RPG on the site. In order to play the RPG, you have to get at least 50 posts. The gil's only good for use in the RPG, I think.

Frankly, I wouldn't even know how to give you gil...
-There's no real point in having it except for use in the RPG

Yes, gil is only for use in the RPG and even if you begged you're not strictly supposed to give out gil. Anyway you'd need an account in one of the banks in the RPG for anyone to give you any gil.

51 posts. You'll automatically get 500 for starting an account, and you'll bank more for posting, but most of the gil you get is in-game.

And no, this is not FFXI gil...

Does mods and admins get as much gil as they want?

yes, Admins and RPG mods can give themselves as much gil as they want.

Technically, we can, but we try to avoid that if at all possible.
