I just saw the cinematic that was triggered when i entered the phon coast. Baltier said that he used to be a judge...isn't that freaking awesome????:O:D
 
yeah i agree
the storyline was cool i liked the judges and all the royalty and that stuff
even though alot people find it confusing and boring
 
I think Balthier was a lesser judge, not a judge Magister from what I gathered. Yes to the judges being awesomely superior and wicked :D
 
lol yeah, i find the judges like way too cool. Anyways... are you guys done with the main story??
 
i done the main story twice and finished all sidequest and bought everything (although i still need to get the danjuro)

It was one of my favorite plot twists in the whole story, along with Cid being his dad. The game seriously took a turn to complete awesomeness when that cut scene with Balthier took place. I recommend anyone who is palying and is questioning the story-line of FFXII up to this point, to at least get to Phon Coast as the plot deepens and starts to make more sense.

agreed. the plot took a serious turn for the bestest direction evah.



and that didn't even make sense!

From what I remember it was one of the only plot twists in the game. The rest were either predictable or uninteresting.

The whole Cid being Balthier's father thing reminded me of Star Wars.

NO!
The story doesn't advance at all.
No Character development at all.

I hated this games story

The Battle system was amazing its what kept me playing till the end.
I loved this game's battle system
Hated the story.
also Hated the fact with the License board every character is practically the same just a different costume.

what are you talking about?? their stats are completely different! Even if you equip your characters with gear that has a bonus to certain stats, it still isn't enough to assume every character is the same. Now what happens if basch was your main black/time mage and used a bow?? Well that character wouldn't do as well if you had the same thing he was wearing, but equip it to say Penello... She was made to be a ranged spellcaster, unlike basch who has a poor MP pool and is made primarily for melee!
