Braska's final aeon

The first time I fought Braska's final aeon, everyone had auto-life and when they died they still had auto-life and the whole process was pretty easy :)
What triggers that again?

Braska's Final Aeon was hard the first time I played, but once I figured out the stragety of beating him, it was fairly simple. The final battle with Seymour was overwhelmingly easy, I didn't really have to do any thing. And Sin I thought would have been tougher then he really was. The first play through was a little difficult, but the replay was pretty easy.

is it true that auto-life stays on even after you auto-revive?
Again and again?

Anyways, I'm having alot of trouble with Jecht because I use Lulu's double ultima and Yuna's ultima but I run out of MP too often, and my 3rd party member (usually Tidus) is tied up with using mega potions on the party (after sword sweeps) so my damage dealing ability comes to a crawl towards the end. Plus I eventually use up all 5 of my aeons (val, ifrit, shiva, ixion, and yojimbo) so then his overdrive attack finishes me off.

Got any tips that don't involve 20+ hours of more training?

No, it is a special battle there.
You automatically have "Auto-Auto-Life" (at least that how I call it) which lasts forever and ever...

As for tips:

Try getting the 1 MP Cost ability to a weapon.
And Magic Booster if you don't have.
With those two abilities, Ultima will cost only 2 MP.
So double ultima will cost only 4.

I couldn't bit the Sin (which has the time limit. the one before Jecth) so I did some hunting for the Arena. It didn't take long before I had the right items.
You can as well use Rikku's overdrive and Mix 2 "Door to tommorow" (I got a banch of them after completing a few areas for the arena).
You'll get "Trio of 9999" which makes anything you do to have the effect of 9999 (either damage or healing).
Then, Tidus's "Slice and Dice" can be very useful (9999 multiply times), as well as some Al Bhed potions (it heals everyone and since you have the 9999 effect, it heals alot. Better than mega-potion).

Check as well if you have any item which doubles MAX HP.
I always saw Rikku as useless, but in the final battle I checked what items I have and.. realized she is the most useful character!

well, i don't have any items that double max hp, and the 1-mp-cost-effect looks like it would be very difficult and time consuming to gather the materials for. But the door-to-tomorrow mixing looks like it would be insanely useful. I'll go check out the arena.

Get Rikku and Lulu on Autodrive. Have Rikku mix the trio of 9999 mix (with Lulu in the party), and have Lulu go nuts with a weak elemental spell (like Fire/Thunder/Blizzard, since they're easy to get a string of hits with with her chain magic spell) and that should take a large enough chunk out of his health and take care of the Pagodas.

pardon me but, how do you get the doors-to-tomorrow potions in the arena? By defeating bosses in it?

Because I can't even beat the first boss in the arena (Chimerageist)!!!! I would say that this boss is even tougher than Jecht, given the insane damage he deals.

No, just go do some hunting for monsters. After you gather all monsters in a certain area, you get an item x 99. I don't know how many areas you have to "complete" (it is enough one monster from each type) to get Door to tomorrow, but you should eventually get it. Start with areas with very weak monsters.

*Don't forget to buy the weapons for hunting

BTW, instead of getting the 1 MP Cost (which maybe you'll get in the process of getting "Door to tomorrow" anyway), you can use Lulu's Fury Overdrive. Again multiply 9999 damage. And you can use weak magics as well as they'll do the same damage.

well then I guess my last question is, which am I more likely to find:

A Garuda on the Mushroom Rock Road

A qactuar in the Thunder plains

A sandworm on Bivanel Island/sanubia desert

I've captured every monster in these three areas except for these. Can't seem to find them anywhere. And I've already completed 5 other areas. So I only need to bag one of those. Arrggh.
