Blocking in Dissidia

Does anyone ever block bravery attacks? I rarely ever try it cause u mess up and its over, though succeed and it pays off big time. I usually just dodge crap like a noob and wait for an opening or hide behind something and suprise them with an HP attack.

Once u reach level 100 the AI is smart and dodges all ur attacks. The only way to land a hit is either by blocking and then countering or attacking before or RIGHT after there HP attack. Some one teach me how to block effectively!

The best thing to do when fighting defensively is to slow down your attacks, calm yourself and watch your opponent. You find their ttacks a lot easier to read (moreso with Cloud and Garland though, as compared to Onion Knight) also, listening to any sounds they make before an attack too, or strange movements. If it's still too tricky, try using Jecht, Ex-Death, Sephiroth, Cloud of Darkness or anyone else with shield attacks.
