Hey guys..:D

Look here, I wanna settle this dispute once and for all.

Which anime/manga do you enjoy watching/reading the most:

BLEACH OR NARUTO?

Please give a straight forward answer and reason(s).

Lemme start..
I find that Bleach is better than Naruto because Bleach has a more interesting approach to the supernatural/shounen genre. I really like the idea of Hollows being invisible to ordinary human eyes and how they have to be purified by soldiers known as Death Gods (Shinigami). I also like how Kubo Tite uses the idea that each Shinigamis' katanas have minds of their own and are unique when released.

Last note: Kurosaki Ichigo will whup Uzumaki's ass.

Ho ho ho! A Bleach lover! Oh yes baby! :P Bleach would win anyday, it's just amazing and Ichigo is just plain awesome :D Naruto does have it's good features but it just doesn't appeal to me as much as Bleach does :D

Final Note: Tbh, in a fight neither of them would win :P They'd prolly end up having a shouting match because one of them insulted the other

I would say Naruto for a similar reason. I've kind of fallen away from my anime fanboy days but Naruto's take on ninjitsu is very interesting to me. I can't say I became intrigued by one plot more than another. I tend to like the weaponry in Bleach much more than I like anything Naruto offers. However, it's just that Naruto offers a world of depth and creativity to both the world and the ninjitsu in it. That and the fights in Naruto really get the blood flowing sometimes.

EDIT: I chose Naruto...

So which is it? Siding with Bleach? Or Naruto?

Point taken for the ninjitsu, but Kido is still way better, how it has levels and random incantations.

666 Satan is not an option?

Pfft... Fine... Bleach.

I watched and read Naruto before I really got into Bleach... I DID buy the first Bleach manga the day it came out and liked it, but it struck me as a series that wouldn't continue very long. Naruto is good and all... But it has way too many annoyances to reccomend it, at least until the series ENDS. Because one of the biggest problems is that the creator could go SO MUCH MORE indepth with the story, characters, and emotions. But he takes two weeks to write a single chapter. Each chapter lasting one minute to read, at most, and almost everything focuses on some Emo kid who technically should have died 100 times already. Nevermind there's only one 'ninja' i can count in the series.

Bleach is a bit more refined in characterizations, though the powers are a touch DBZ-ish.

Bleach here.
Because it just works well even the fillers are good I remember the first time I watched a filler. I was like this is pretty good episode just to find out that it was a filler.

As for why 666 Satan isn't on the list, few reasons:

1) If I allow it, why don't I just allow Trinity Blood, Death Note, D.Gray-man, Full Metal Alchemist etc. as well?

2) Bleach and Naruto are some of most popular anime/manga in terms of fans and also in terms of otaku arguments over which is better.

Because 666 Satan is rather comparable to Naruto, being made by the twin brother of the creator. Also, I tend to like rooting for the underdog. ^^ Technically, I like FMA better than both Bleach and Naruto, but 666 Satan is THE manga I can't let go. Especially if you're of a more mature and thoughtful mind than typical Shonen readers.

I like the story of Bleach way more better than Naruto. Bleach focuses on multiple things unlike Naruto which only focuses on ninjas. Bleach also has many different kinds of mysterious entities like the shinigami, the quincy, hollows(the menos, the arrancar, etc), the vizard, humans with supernatural abilities and other crazy stuff that makes it really interesting..

PS: Naruto's rasengan is no match against Ichigo's getsuga tensho!

Bleach kicks Narutos ass yeah Sosuke Aizen for the win!!!

I think that the beginning of Bleach is much better than the beginning of Naruto, mostly because of the Soul Society Arc and how thought out and how everything connected once we found out Aizen's abilities and that he's evil. But I don't really like the Hueco Mundo Arc because it doesn't make much sense...
the old captain changed his mind and sent the captains to help rescue Ichigo, and Zaraki pwned Noitora with "Kendo", which is basicly saying Zaraki without going Bankai beats Ichigo in Bankai and his hollow form, when Ichigo had beaten Zaraki w/o either in the Soul Society Arc
... I guess I don't really like this because it's not "realistic" in the world of Bleach

Naruto in the beginning was pretty O.k, but the Soul Society Arc still beat it. Recently, after the whole thing with Shikamaru and Asuma, I think the manga became really really good, and extremely thought out.
Everything Itachi did had reason, what he said to sasuke, and what he said to the other Uchihas in the episode 9x flashback. I think it went something like "Without measuring and thinking about my container, you assumed your own to be higher" with fits perfectly which how the village elders gave Itachi an extremely tough and unfair decision, and the other Uchihas assumed Itachi to be stupid and just a kid and thought they would definitely be stronger... Arrgh, it's hard to say it, go watch the flashback episode and read the manga chapter where Tobi tells Sasuke about Itachi!

Right now, I think Naruto is much better than Bleach because Bleach's story is starting to get crazy, and everything in Naruto is clicking and becoming intense!

*ya know if this was debate about more serious things like saving the earth or recycling then id simply side with the best that benefits everyone. but since its just a squabble about 2 anime's which are possibly the most amazing anime ever id say lets just enjoy the shows cause its all about fun right :)

*but i have to decide so id pick Naruto cause its has more intense fight scenes and the best and interesting characters ive seen. cant really see why we have to pick but thats my choice :)

*Eh hem*
Bleach is more mature then Naruto, but Naruto has some cool fight scenes, but then again Bleach has some wicked cool fights also. Bleach has better, more unique characters, while Naruto has Shikamaru, Naruto, Kakashi, Shino, and jaraiya, that's only a few cool characters.
Naruto's fillers suck spaghetti meat balls while at least the fillers in Bleach keep you on your toes.
IMO, I think Avatar: The Last Airbender PWNS all of them, but I know every one here says it's not considered anime.(even though it's exactly made like Anime >.> and they had anime people working on the show.)

Since Avatar's out, I go with BLEACH.

I tried watching Bleach again the other night. I just cannot get into it. The main character is far more stylish than anyone in Naruto but the plot is just stupid and poorly written. It's like another DBZ, IMO. It's so weird because it has all the elements of an anime I'd love... and yet it just bores me to death.

I really don't want to burst you bubble, but Avatar is really not anime. It's just trying to be, by having the character drawn in 'anime style'. It is really easy to identify manga drawn by a Japanese and by a non-Japanese. If you want proof, all anime comes from manga, Avatar does not have a manga. Avatar was created by Michael Dante DiMartino and Bryan Konietzko, distinctively not Japanese.

Look down the right hand side under the logo, there is no Japanese people on it, apart from Mako, a voice actor, who I believe may be.

Yes, but the entire show is animated by a South Korean company. And NOT all Anime comes from Manga. Case in point, Slayers, highly sucessful anime series, was based on light novels. Tengen Toppa Gurren-Lagann, was based on nothing but the original storyboards by the company that animated it. Wolf's Rain got a Manga BASED on it, but it was an anime first, same with Cowboy Bebop and Outlaw Star and Gundam 0079... You get my point. However, in the case of Avatar, I consider it Anime due to a lack of any other word to classify Korean animation. With Korean manga, you've got Manwha, but Korean animation doesn't have a term I believe... And I don't think it's fair to judge Animation by the minds behind it or the voicework. After all, I don't see why an American author/artist can't think up a story that gets turned into Anime somehow.
