More of the latest Famitsu interview with Kingdom Hearts director Tetsuya Nomura reveals that development for Kingdom Hearts 3 is in the process, and that both titles Birth by Sleep and Coded share a deep connection to it. Please read the translations of the interview below!

A New Title Coming in 2010

– Let’s talk about the trailer that premiered at the end of the year event. The mobile contents of Kingdom Hearts Coded, it seems the last episode that distributes will be a little different.

Nomura:
Coded becomes a cross linking bridge more and more. There’s a deep collection between Coded and Birth by Sleep, they’re both connected to the story taking place after Kingdom Hearts 2.

- A connection to Kingdom Hearts 3?

Nomura:
What to say…? I think knowing how the story has extended thus far, a conclusion would be too easy to figure out. So I can’t speak about those developments yet.

– How is Agito coming along?

Nomura:
It’s progressing steadily, but at the moment the plans for The Third Birthday take priority. Since more information on both titles will be releasing next year, please look forward to it. After that, there is an unpublished work coming along faster than expected.

– Huh, a new work?
Nomura: I can’t say. (Smiles) The development is coming along well and the voice recording/editing has begun too. Though it really isn’t a new work, there is one more unannounced title.

– So finally, do you have a message for everyone looking forward to Birth by Sleep?

Nomura: Because this extremely exhilarating game is complete, I think I can use it as an excuse feel a little stress relief. (Smiles) Since both RPG enthusiasts and those who aren’t very good at action games can customize the Deck Commands so everyone can enjoy playing it, please take a look at it. Those who have been following along with the series, please make sure to reserve this one.

I'm not surprised about Coded and BbS being connected to KH3. I mean, despite everyone hard pressed to want to play more than KH1 and KH2, all the KH games do connect to each other. It's why I'm so pissy about not being able to get Coded >.<

Unless they ported it to PSP/DS or something :hmmm:

I think there was even a thread here that explained the contents of a secret trailer of BbS and in it, it showed
Sora as his KH2 self
. And Coded does take place after KH2, right?

I really wonder if KH3 will be the finale of KH. I love the series, but if it ends conclusively with no loose ends, it should be epic O.O

For the "new work", I wonder if it's related to The World Ends With You? I mean, I think there was some talk about a Wii game in relation to that DS title WAY back, but who knows O.O
Deck Commands..? Does that mean BbS will be like CoM? D=

I mean, I didn't hate CoM's battle system, but I preferred the KH1/KH2 system.

Oh well, seems like there's some kewl stuff to look forward too! ^_^

Ooh- this is getting rather fascinating and exciting.

Nomura: What to say…? I think knowing how the story has extended thus far, a conclusion would be too easy to figure out. So I can’t speak about those developments yet.

Ah, cunning Nomura! You're not going to let anything in KH be predictable are you? I bet he has plans to make a KHIII even more convoluted in terms of story. I bet there is a KHIII planned somewhere- though with Versus, Agito and 3rd Birthday, it is a tight schedule to fit a KHIII in.

Nomura: It’s progressing steadily, but at the moment the plans for The Third Birthday take priority. Since more information on both titles will be releasing next year, please look forward to it.

That sounds OK to me. The 3rd Birthday is certainly a title I am rather intrigued with. I haven't played a Parasite Eve game before, so playing as Aya will be new to me.

Nomura: I can’t say. (Smiles) The development is coming along well and the voice recording/editing has begun too. Though it really isn’t a new work, there is one more unannounced title.
That certainly sounds fast- if it's not very new, I'm not very surprised it's coming along faster. Although SE- Europe hasn't had the chance to play a PS2 port of KH: Chain of Memories though! If it's not very new- can we please get it this time?

Those who have been following along with the series, please make sure to reserve this one.

KH hurts my heads sometimes. But I aspire to follow it once Birth by Sleep comes out.
