I've heard good things about this game for the 360. So now that its finally coming out on the PS3, im thinking of getting it. has anyone here played it? What did you think?

ps: I hear Gore Verbinksi, of Pirates of the Caribean is gonna make this into a movie since he's a big fan of this game.

I just beat it yesterday on the PS3. It was a tad bit better on the ps3. Also there is soon to come downloadable rooms to play.
It's a rent imo though cause I don't see much replay value unless you are willing to wait just to play a few downloaded rooms. I was hoping that the game would allow you to transfer over your weapons and points to the next game like RE4 but it didn't. Which is a shame because that was the reason I bought RE4. I like playing games in which I can upgrade my characters.

I dont know much about Bioshock in terms of gameplay, but i know its a FPS, and it has RPG elements. Is Bioshock an epic game? Can you roam freely around rapture and just do whatever you feel like?

I'm torn between getting it and not getting it after playing the demo. The demo seems generally very good but there is something about it that I don't like but I can't pinpoint what exactly. So meeeeh, might do. :wacky:

I've played/completed it for the pc way back when and i'd say it's worth it, it's a really good game there's lots to do on it, and it just seems to have a certain aura about it that makes it a whole lot better.

So i'd say it's worth a buy. :)

You see, I had heard the same thing before I played it. It was actually the reason I played it. But to be honest, almost everything I heard about the game before I played it wasn't true.

I did like the game very much, but it was nothing like I heard.

I heard it had some RPG elements, but now after beating it I'd have to assume that was said by people who haven't played an RPG. You can upgrade guns and plasmids, but it is just like level 1, 2, 3 in which you buy from a market. That is the only thing close to an RPG element.
The game unfortunately isn't really free roam. You can treck back to places you've been, but there is no point really. For the most part you are supposed to just go from point A to point B.

I also heard many people rave that it was a 70 hour game. While it is indeed long for a FPS, I beat the game in one and a half days. Then after I beat it I started the game up to see if your items carried over (which I didn't) but I continued to go through and the second time through I beat the game within 3 hours.

With all that said, the game was great. I was just let down because it was nothing like so many people hyped it to be. I will still play part two when it comes out though.

Am I getting it? What kind of question is that? I already own it! ^__^ Wanted to play it back when it was released for the PC but seeing that my PC wasn't that good, chances where that it would burst into flames the second I put the Bioshock CD on my CD-Rom....

So yeah, hearing how good the game was I decided to buy it for the PS3.... and I'm really happy I did! I'm loving each and every second I'm spending playing that game! And ugh, the big daddies are a pain in the ass!!! >_<

As great as Bioshock is, I'd go with Fallout 3. Then again, I've already played Bioshock...so that decision shouldn't be surprising. Still, Fallout 3 looks too awesome.

Definitely play Bioshock at some point, though. Awesome story, intense action, lots to keep yourself occupied.
