Can i join? I love the MGS series and i noticed that Darkblade's club has gone a bit pear shaped, oh well.
Hideo Kojima rules, and Big Boss is probably the biggest badass of all time! Only considering buying a PS3 when MGS 4 comes out.

Anyone bought subsistence yet? I'm considering it, the new camera is a neat idea, dunno why they haven't done that in the first place....?
Oh and MGO? Is it any good?
 
Hey guys, sorry I haven't been here lately I've been quite busy. Oh and I have the Subsistence version and it is very good but since MGO was a test beta. The servers were closed down on April 2, 2007. I really miss playing that but when I get the PS3 I will get MGS4.
 
I heard MGS 4 will have an online mode aswell......and have you seen the new gameplay footage of MGS 4 on IGN? It looks awsome!!!! I can't wait to get it......arrrgh
 
The PS3 is a pain in the ass though, here in England its almost double the price compared USA, and its not even fully backward compatible, which is a bit shit.
 
Really? Well that sucks but for now I've taken a break from MGS and am playing FFXII. I wanna play all the games sometime before I buy the game so that it I have my knowledge of MGS refreshed. I was also thinking of getting the MGSPO + which is a newer version of the one I have.

Metal Gear Solid the first real game I played...ever!
I bought a PS2 mainly for MGS2 and I found it a little dissapointing but it's still a great game. Substance was pretty fun as well with the VR, Snake Tales and the skateboarding.
MGS3 was awesome and might be my favourite. The story was great and was a brilliant prequel. I've bought Subsistance and I think the new camera angle is differant. I won't say much better just differant. Subsistance also gave me a chance to play MG and MG2 which I had never played before and It was good to find out first hand what the storys were like before MGS1.
I recomend, If you have a PSP to buy Portable Ops. It's a great story.
I am looking forward to MGS4 and it is one of the reasons for me getting a PS3:0.
 
I already have Portable Ops, just that there is a newer version coming out and I am not sure if I should buy it. BTW Welcome to the club. I should've give you some pie.

I usually complete MGS & 2 & 3 once a year now, just to remember the all so complicated story, god, the last codec conversation with robot Campell in MGS2, is so damn complex, i needed a lot of caffeine for that bit.....longest codec convo aswell i think.....i wanna get Subsistence to play the original Metal Gears, MGPO would be good aswell, i heard its about how Big Boss created FoxHound or something....
 
Yeah, its tells how he founded Foxhound. Supposedly it was supposed why he created Outer Heaven and fought against Solid Snake. It didn't show that, but they did show where did he get that idea and the money to found it. Since, I have MGS3: Subsistence I have played MG and MG2: Solid Snake but I still haven't beaten the second one.
 
I'll sign up also im a fan of the MGS series and I have a PS3 and I can't wait till MGS4 comes out I already seen the game play of it and it looks cool.
 
Yeah I've seen the gameplay of MGS4 and it looks awesome. I've also seem the fight between Raiden and Vamp. I'm not surprised Vamp's back as there was no wy he died in MGS2.
 
Totally, I liked the rolling can. Can't say its better than the original box in which Snake used to hide in. lol, and I've heard that Raiden only has his head and his spine which is why he wears a Exoskeleton like Gray Fox who may be rest in pieces. lol

His head and his spine!? That's wierd, I thought he wasn't even going to fight anymore after the MGS2 ending. Darn it! I need a PS3 and I need this damn game!
 
Yeah, he lost everything in his body and the only thing left is his head and spine. He can't take off the exoskeleton, and which is why he is able to stab himself in the new MGS4 trailer. Even Eva from MGS3 is coming out in MGS4. She looks really old, just look at this woman.

Go to character renders and then go to MGS4 and next to the character render of Solid Snake, click next until you see an old woman.
