Since I'm currently taking a piano class, I've been inspired to go check pianist on youtube once again and listen to the wonderful songs that they play. So basically, just post the video of people playing the piano and explain why that song has touched you in some way.
Here's a few favorites of mine:
Title: Scarlet (from the anime "Ayashi no Ceres")
I actually stumbled upon this song accidentally on youtube a few years ago. When I heard the song, I just fell in love with it due to the dramatic and sad tone. It's so melodic and I can listen to it any time of day. After hearing it, I found out that the song's actually from an anime 'Ayashi no Ceres', so I watched it and it's now one of my favorite anime as well. =]
The guy who played this song on the piano is truly talented! I learned half of the song on the keyboard a few years ago but unfortunately, my keyboard had only 64 keys and as I got near to the middle of the song, I realized there was not enough room to finish playing the whole song. =/ So I quit and forgot about it. I recently got a new keyboard (76 keys) and trying to re-learn this song so I can finally finish it.
Anyway, there's another pianist who played the same song although she played it much much slower due to her not really looking at the keyboard and just reading the notes. I've seen a few pianist play this song quite successfully but I have to say that she's actually the best one I've seen so far. You can really feel the music through and through - it's so grand!
She also played 'Every Heart' by BoA (InuYasha)
Beautiful song, although I think the pace is a tad bit too fast. But she actually played slower than the other pianist who also played this song and I still like her version better.
