There have been many First Person Shooters over time, but which ones stand out as the elite of the elite? In my personal opinion, it is between Halo and Resistance: Fall of Man, with Halo edging out Resistance.

Counter-Strike  LOLZ!
Just kidding.

I've never played Halo *I know that's a bad and horrible thing to say* nor Resistance as my cousin refuses to buy any more games at the moment.
The best graphics-wise I've ever played had to be Rainbow Six....erm, the Vegas one, I can't remember the exact title as I've only played the demo 5 months ago.

The one I actually played: MoH series. It has a great historical setting and storyline. Plus it lets me use actual weapons although they are outdated.

Try Halo if you ever get the chance, it's well worth the $20 it costs these days, haha.

Killzone for the winz! ;D

O I meant Halo 2. My bad.

Dang I looked stupid.:|

How 'bout Battlefield 2142, that game's awesome.
But yet again, I've only played the demo or whatever those things are they set up at the electronics store.
Well worth the 5 hours though.
Well worth....

Oh, Halo, Combat Evolved is exponentially better than Halo 2 in terms of campaign. Halo 2 obviously wins in multi-player.

Another good one is Call of Duty 2 for the Xbox 360, that game was great.

There's Call of Duty 3 out, isn't there?
Lol, it's been out for months!

I'd like to get my hands on that one.
Playing CoD is just way better with actual surround sound.
I's in the game

Eh, I'm not too sure about Call of Duty 3...they released it only 1 year after CoD2, which leads me to believe it's lacking.

What can I say?
I'm a sucker for sequels.
What I think is a good sequel usually turns bad in the end.
I have the worst luck in the world.

Play Halo 2 or Fable and then look forward to Halo 3 and Fable 2. You won't be dissapointed in the least. ;D

If you ever get a PS3 bud, play Resistance.

:P :P :P

Not being much of a p.c. gamer my choice may seem a bit heretical, but I have to say Timesplitters 2 for me. It had a much improved single player game compared to the first one, and in multiplayer it remains one of the greatest around, something which Future Perfect didn't do quite as well on if you ask me. Not to mention the humour which the game has, something which was a breath of fresh air compared to many of the genre.

A close runner up would be the original perfect Dark. Again, like T2, it has an excellent balance between single player and multiplayer, and the range of weapons available is excellent.

You know, that isn't the first time that I heard somebody give a alot of praise to T2, I suppose I'll have to try the game out if it's a good FPS.

Finally, another campaigner!!

When you said that stuff about Halo 2 pwning multiplayer, I thought....
But hey, I've always said story beats anything, so kudos, kudos, and kudos for you. :D

I never really liked Half-Life that much. That particular type of FPS doesn't really appeal to me all that much.

TimeSplitters 2 is the greatest FPS I have ever played, with Halo coming in close behind.
