Beating the Weapons

I kicked Emerald's ass today easily without KoR and Mime, it was a funny battle 
Seems like no one here used the same strategy what I tried. I equipped Cloud (LVL 99, 9999/9999 HP) with Double Cut, HP Plus, 4 Counter Attacks and 2 Speed Plus's (though they weren't so necessary) and I had Barret and Cid in my party as healers equipped with Mega All, Revive, Restore, W-Magic (Barret), W-Item (Cid).
Everything else went just smoothly. I attacked Emerald with Cloud's 4x-Cut and every time Emerald hit Cloud he instantly hit him with 4 Counter Attacks in a row, doing 9999 dmg while Barret and Cid cast Regen & Cure3 (Barret twice thanks to W-Magic). I also had Megalixirs in case that Cure3 wasn't enough. Eventually, he died
Now I'm trying to beat Ruby, but he's WAY harder than Emerald.

It doesnt matter if you think its weak using Hp Absorb linked with KOTR and mime it. Beating a boss is beating a boss plain and simple. Your strategy may differ, hey good for you beating him the way you did. I applaud people either strategy they use. I use Absorb KOTR and mime it, I guess I'm weak too. Strategy is strategy, use what you think is the best and most effective. And I found that was effective enough to win.
